Starts # 6 Week of the Hospital (28/05/2018)

"The recovery of the pelvic floor" has focused much of the Open Day of Gynecology and Pediatrics, which was developed this morning in the training room of the Hospital de Molina, in the framework of the 6th Hospital Week, with which the Hospital Center celebrates its eighteenth anniversary.

During the same, the gynecologist of the Hospital de Molina, Dr. Esperanza Gadea Niñoles, and the hospital's own midwife, Emilia Redondo Hortelano, have explained that a weakening of the pelvic floor can produce different consequences such as leakage of urine, sexual dysfunctions, decreases of the uterus, vagina, or rectum, etc.

And they have highlighted that the weakening of the pelvic floor is motivated by risk factors: pregnancy and childbirth due to increased abdominal pressure;

certain sports practices, since the jumps increase the intra-abdominal pressure;

aging;

age and hormonal changes, causing loss of flexibility;

family background;

etc.

One of the treatments to recover the pelvic floor, is the laser treatment, which already has the Gynecology and Obstetrics Service of the Hospital de Molina.

"A treatment that allows, among other things, the correct evaluation of the pelvic floor of the woman, while helping the woman to feel where her muscles are, her applications in Gynecology are several: vaginal rejuvenation, vaginal atrophy, syndrome of vaginal relationship, stress urinary incontinence syndrome (grade I and II), vulvovaginal aesthetic surgery, genital bleaching, HPV / Cystocele / Rectocele, embellishment of the vulva, improves painful episiotomy, ... ", explains Dr. Gadea Niñoles.

The care of the newborn has focused the second part of this Open Day, with the pediatrician of the Hospital de Molina, Pío Dólera Almaida.

Today, also within the 6th Hospital Week, Dr. Ana Huergo Silverio, head of the Tabaquic Detoxification Unit of the Hospital de Molina, explained to the students of 1st ESO of the IES Francisco de Goya (Molina de Segura) , the advantages of not smoking and abandoning this habit.

For its part, the nutritionist Molina Hospital, Rebeca Pastor Valero (My Personal Food), has highlighted with his talk given to parents of the La Consolación Children's School (Molina de Segura) the importance of carrying out a diet healthy in family to normalize all foods, flavors and textures to the smallest from an early age.
