The IES Vega del Táder has won the video contest Reasons to have fun without consuming, promoted by the Department of Social Welfare of the City of Molina de Segura, within the Municipal Plan of Drug Addiction, and aimed at students of 2nd of ESO.
The award ceremony took place today, Wednesday, May 30, in the Board Room of the City Council.
The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, and the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángel Navarro García, attended.
The Municipal Drug Addiction Plan sets in motion actions to raise awareness, training and prevention of drug addiction and other addictions in the municipality of Molina de Segura.
During the 2017/2018 academic year a series of activities have been carried out that have been directed to different groups, such as: workshops for parents, municipal employees, Integra Program, etc.
One of these activities has been the video contest Reasons to have fun without consuming, consisting of making a video that reflects leisure alternatives and promoting healthy lifestyles in adolescents, to be posted on the YouTube channel and put to a popular vote.
The activity has been aimed at students of the 2nd year of ESO of the 12 institutes of the municipality, both public and concerted, who have given workshops on prevention.
The centers have participated in informative sessions on prevention of drug addiction and gambling with bets and abuses of new technologies.
The participating institutes have been: Vega del Táder, Vistarreal, Vicente Medina and Francisco de Goya.
The educational center that has received the greatest number of prevention talks has been the IES Vega del Táder.
There have been 5 classes, with students of the 2nd year of ESO, which means a total of 133 students.
The winning video was made jointly by the students of the 2 ° E class of the IES Vega del Táder, to encourage motivation and participation among themselves.
The winners of the prizes have been chosen by lot among the participants of the class and are: Salvador Moreno Mellado, Christian Jiménez Torrejón and Laura Fernández Sánchez-Torrano.
The prizes for the winning video are: a tablet for the educational center;
and a bonus of activities of the Institute of Canoeing of Murcia, which includes a theoretical-practical 4-hour course, transportation to the Mar Menor, necessary equipment, lunch, photo and accident insurance for three winners.
