The Manager of the Hospital de Molina, Pedro Hernández Jiménez, has received from the hands of the Illustrious Academy of Health Sciences Ramón y Cajal, the Gold Medal for Humanitarian Merit in recognition of his service work committed to society.

At an event held last night in Madrid, the Academy whose President is Dr. Mª del Carmen Slocker de Arce, and whose Vice President is Dr. Javier López-Ibor - has highlighted the excellent career of Hernández Jiménez, linked to his great social, humanitarian and benefactor work towards the most needy.

In this sense, and under his direction, the Hospital de Molina, in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility, widely develops its social performance, with numerous actions encompassed in five strategic lines: labor integration of disability, health promotion and dissemination , collaboration with social organizations and NGOs, promotion of culture and sports, and research and teaching.

Thus, among other actions, the Hospital Center:

actively promotes the labor integration of the disability, through the incorporation in staff and the hiring of companies made up of people with disabilities.

promotes health through informative talks to social groups, activities and courses of the Foundation for Medical Studies (FEM) and the International University of the Sea, Molina de Segura Health Week, Hospital Week, the Health Program 5-10 , etc.

is part of the Network of Tobacco Free Hospitals of the Region of Murcia, integrated into the European Network of Hospitals without Smoke

encourages sports as a healthy habit, collaborating with Federations and Sports Clubs: Cycling Federation of the Region of Murcia, Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia, Athletes Association of Molina de Segura, charity golf tournaments, etc.

collaborates with the FADE Foundation, Cáritas, Red Cross, Solidarity Surgery, Solidarity Childhood, MSF, UNHCR, etc.

He develops research and teaching through the Hospital de Molina Research Chair at UCAM.
