The Socialist Spokesperson Joaquín López Pagán and the socialist regional deputy Consuelo Cano Hernández, together with Esther Clavero Mira, Mayor of Molina de Segura and General Secretary of the PSOE in the city, as well as the councilmen and councilors of her group, visited the district molinense de Los Valientes to join the request of the Molinian socialists and the current government team to build a sewage treatment plant so that the sanitation network becomes a reality in the area.
Los Valientes is one of the historic districts of the municipality and its neighbors have been claiming for years to install the sewerage and sanitation network.
The PSOE collected these demands as their own and has been presenting initiatives to respond to them for almost two decades.
In 2006 the PSOE got the support of the whole corporation and a motion was approved unanimously in which the City Council promised to provide the sewer network to Los Valientes.
The initiatives to remember this commitment to the Regional Government of the PP have happened in the time since then, demanding the fulfillment of this agreement.
Clavero recalled then and from the ranks of the opposition, that the City Council only showed its unwillingness to provide Los Valientes with a service as basic as sewerage and sanitation, urging to seek funding in different administrations so that they could find a solution.
However, the immobility and apathy of the popular governments was the answer.
The Socialist Parliamentary Group in the Regional Assembly attended in the same way this just demand and has submitted to the Regional Budgets on numerous occasions amendments for the inclusion of the same of a heading that would enable the construction of this project.
With the arrival at the City Hall of Clavero the commitment with the citizens of Los Valientes by the City Council was fulfilled and has undertaken the works falling within its competence, investing almost 600,000 euros in charge of the 2017 Municipal Budget for the implementation of the service sanitation in consolidated urban land.
Currently, it has the network that has financed this City Council but not with the treatment plant through which it can be put into service.
Both Fuensanta Martínez, mayor responsible for municipal works, and Clavero, have transmitted on several occasions and in repeated interviews with the General Directorate of Water the urgency that these works are undertaken;
June 29, 2016, December 18, 2017 and January 31, 2018.
On April 26 and before the inoperability of the Regional Government Martinez raised to plenary a motion to demand that ESAMUR put out to bid and build as quickly as the treatment plant of Los Valientes, as promised, even to consign a game in the 2017 Budget of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia of 500,000 euros for the construction of the depurated that today is still not a reality.
Clavero considers that the projection and execution of this work can not be delayed and that the lack of consideration with the neighbors of Los Valientes by the Regional Government should cease once and for all.
"The Molina de Segura City Council and this Government Team have complied with the neighbors and we demand that the General Water Directorate of the Autonomous Community do the same, we are talking about essential and basic services and it is not tolerable that there are first-class Molinenses and of second ".
López Pagán showed his support to Clavero and his team and the residents of Los Valientes and also regretted the sectarianism with the Popular Party deals with the municipalities governed by the PSOE and the disloyalty with which it deals with these municipalities and their neighbors
