The City of Molina de Segura, through the Department of Public Road, Parks and Gardens, has carried out a total investment of 100,227.39 euros in the works of provision of public square at the confluence of San Pedro and Asunción streets , and improvement of the park of the Social Center of the San Antonio neighborhood.
The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, and the Councilor for Public Roads, Parks and Gardens, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, made a visit to the completion of the works on Friday, June 15.
Attending a local demand for conditioning and creation of a square in the existing municipal lot next to San Pedro Street, approved by the Municipal Plenary on February 29, 2016, the City Council has carried out the works for the provision of a public square together to San Pedro and Asunción Street.
It is a square, barely 115 m2, which, despite the limited surface, meets the basic needs that neighbors demanded for a recreation area, such as: the existing wall and railing arrangement, the elevation of the platform to remove the water from the site, the improvement of accessibility, the paving with cobblestones of the square, the planting of 4 trees, and the provision of urban furniture and a small area for children's games.
Likewise, the dividing wall of the building has been recovered, by means of a nice allegorical mural to the vegetable garden of Molina de Segura.
In summary, as the Councilor for Public Roads, Fuensanta Martínez, points out, "it has not been possible to get more with so little space, a very nice square has been left for the enjoyment of the neighbors that were demanding it for so many years and that the government team He promised to perform. "
The investment was 42,742.38 euros, and the works have been executed by the company Talleres y Conducciones Juanito, SL.
On the other hand, a visit has also been made to the completion of the works to improve the park of the Social Center of the San Antonio neighborhood, where it has proceeded to improve accessibility around the playground, which was previously on land and now has a cobblestone pavement that guarantees the correct accessibility to the playground.
It has also been equipped with a biosaludable playground for young and old, as well as a series of specific improvements in the petanque court (placement of guardrail and running seat), improvement of the open area, with new land of albero, improvement in tree planting and irrigation, provision of more urban furniture and replacement of the pavements of the Social Center door.
Here an investment of 57,485.01 euros has been carried out.
