In the process, the residents of the town over 16 years old will be able to participate

The voting process of the Participatory Budgets 2018 of the Molina de Segura City Council will take place, in person, on June 28, and through the internet, at www.decide.molinadesegura.es, from June 21 to 28, according to The Councilor for Citizen Participation, Pedro Jesús Martínez Baños, recalled Tuesday, June 19.

The Participatory Budgets 2018 are a tool for participation and management of the municipality through which citizens can propose and decide on the destination of part of the economic resources of the City Council.

Through the Participatory Budgets, the neighbors establish their main demands and concerns regarding public investments, activities and programs of the different municipal areas so that they are included in the budget of the City Council next year, prioritizing the most important ones and subsequently carrying out a monitoring of the commitments made.

VOTING PROCESS

It will be voted to definitely choose the actions that will be carried out.

Citizens over 16 years old who are included in the Municipal Register of Molina de Segura may participate.

It will take place on Thursday, June 28, from 5:00 pm to 10:30 pm, at the polling stations that will be located in the social centers or by telematic means, from June 21 to 28, through the website www.decide. .molinadesegura.es

The voting will be carried out by differentiating the action proposals for each one of the Zones and the Municipal action ones.

You can vote up to 5 actions at the municipal level and up to 5 elected among the Zone proposals.

Once the voting is completed, the count will be carried out and a list will be obtained for the city and for each of the five Zones with all the projects submitted to a vote, sorted by number of votes.

The final lists will be raised by the Local Citizen Participation Board to the corresponding municipal body to be carried out up to the limit of the money available.

In Molina de Segura, as a pioneering experience in the region, the implementation of the Participatory Budget has been promoted for some years in the search for participation strategies that lead to the co-management of the Municipal Budget.

Participatory Budgeting is a commitment of the Municipal Corporation for participatory democracy as a new form of government;

a tool to achieve the empowerment of citizens and an instrument for the defense of the public to promote a participatory culture in the public management of our city.

The Participatory Budget of 2018 is a self-regulated process by the citizens themselves, binding for the municipal corporation in the commitment of expenditure, based on deliberation, in its universal character (one person, one vote) and in the monitoring and social control in the accountability.

It is a collective learning process that promotes the creation of a city project for our municipality and that combines face-to-face participation and telematics.

Based on these fundamentals and the experience of previous years, the PsPs process begins in 2018, which must be executed with the Municipal Budget of 2019. The destination of 2 million euros of the corresponding municipal budget of 2019 is decided, of which 50% will be distributed among the 5 areas that make up the municipality and the rest will be used to finance actions at the municipal level.

Phases:

Information and training phase, in assemblies and Internet, from April 5 to 22.

Phase of presentation of proposals, until April 22: technical filtering of proposals.

Prioritization of proposals: Proposals of zone scope and Assemblies and Zone Commission;

and Proposals of municipal scope and Municipal Commission.

Evaluation and study, allegations and response of allegations.

Approval by the Board of Directors June 14.

Voting: telematics, from June 21 to 28;

and face-to-face: June 28.

Agreement by Local Board on July 5.
