Francisco Conesa López will announce the Patron Saint Festivities of Molina de Segura 2018 The opening of the festivities will take place on Friday, September 7, at the Villa de Molina Theater (06/07/2018)

The preacher of the Festivities of Molina de Segura 2018 will be Francisco Conesa López, doctor, journalist and writer, as announced today Friday July 6, the Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira.

The opening speech of the festivities will take place on Friday, September 7, at the Villa de Molina Theater.

Francisco Conesa López (La Torrealta de Molina, January 20, 1952) is the son of Francisco (nicknamed El Bolo) and Catalina.

He is the middle son, between Cleofé and Juan.

Francisco is known in La Torrealta by Francisquin.

Married to Maria de los Angeles Arnaldos Serrano, Francisco Conesa has two children, María de los Ángeles and Francisco, and four grandchildren, Fran, Daniel, Leo and Maren.

The first studies were conducted in the schools that were in front of his house, in Salvador Blanquer Street, for a year with Don Salvador and then with Don Juan.

From 10 to 12 years old he studied in San Jerónimo.

In 1963 he entered the Minor Seminary of San José de Murcia (he was a classmate of Don José Manuel Lorca Planes, current Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena), where he studied Ecclesiastical Studies, which he later validated with the Official Studies.

He completed the Bachiller Superior and Reválida de Letras at the Alfonso X El Sabio Institute in Murcia.

When the medical vocation arose, he studied COU of Sciences in the same Alfonso X El Sabio Institute to be able to enroll in Medicine.

He has a degree in Medicine from the University of Murcia.

Later I would obtain the degree in Journalism also in the University of Murcia.

He is a career officer of the National Corps of Medical Doctors since 1983, a body that was transferred in 1990 to the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.

He is a Specialist in Family and Community Medicine and a University Specialist in Medical Gerontology.

He has practiced medicine in Molina de Segura, Campos del Rio, Albudeite, Jumilla and in Cabezo de Torres, where he retired in 2017. During Holy Week he participates in the Via Crucis Viviente of La Torrealta and in the brotherhoods of Cristo de las Penas and of the Holy Burial of Molina de Segura.

He collaborates as a volunteer in Cáritas and in AFESMO.

Among his hobbies include: hiking (with the Club Senderista Molinense), cycling (for several years was linked to the Club Ciclista Molinense), athletics en route (half marathon, marathon and long-distance mountain crossings), reading classics , and writing, with 11 published titles.

As a journalist he has collaborated in regional publications.

He has been a crier of the living Via Crucis of Torrealta in 1999 and of the Torrealta Festivities in 2009.
