Four out of ten students of the Cifea de Molina de Segura find work in the companies where they do their practices (07/07/2018)

Four out of ten students from the Integrated Training Center and Agricultural Experiences (Cifea) of Molina de Segura find work in the companies where they do their work.

Of the total number of students who have completed the Training in Work Centers module (FCT), 37.5% of the Food Industry and 31.57% of the Environment are working in the companies after the period of practices.

More than 5,500 people a year participate in the activities of the Cifea de Molina de Segura, which in addition to the teachings of the Training Cycles of Food Industry and Environment, also offers a wide variety of continuing education courses for the agricultural and agri-food sector of the Region, certificates of professionalism for the unemployed and other training activities in collaboration with agricultural professional organizations and the food industry, companies in the sector and other public entities, as well as a large number of international activities and projects with countries of the European Union and cooperation to development with countries in Africa and Latin America.

The general director of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Francisco González Zapater, stressed "the importance for the Region of Murcia to have qualified young people in sectors as relevant and strategic to the economy as the agri-food sector and in particular that of the food industry, as well as issues related to environmental management and education. "

155 students enrolled

This center recently celebrated the graduation ceremony of the students of the Formative Cycles of Production of Foodstuffs (Medium Grade) and of the two Higher Level Training Cycles of Processes and Quality in the Food Industry, and of Education and Environmental Control.

This course enrolled a total of 155 students (approximately 60 percent men and 40 percent women), of which 65 correspond to second-year students and, of these, 81.25 percent have completed the cycle .

During the last quarter, students completed 400 hours of internships in 36 companies in the Region.

One of the students of the Training Cycle of Processes and Quality in the Food Industry carried out his internships in a company in the Netherlands, thanks to the Erasmus + mobility aids that this center achieved and which also led a teacher to make a one-week training stay In finland.
