The Town Council of Molina de Segura will undertake the rehabilitation of the Old Schools of El Fenazar, a project whose investment amounts to 59,952.54 euros, co-financed with 63% by the European Agrarian Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and by 37% for the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, which incorporates special conditions of execution of a social nature related to the socio-occupational insertion of people in situations of long-term unemployment.
The initiative was presented at a press conference on Tuesday, July 17, by the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, the Councilman of Pedanías, Antonio López Vidal, and the Councilor for European Projects, Concepción Orenes Hernández.
The municipality of Molinense, through the Department of Policies for Training and Labor Insertion, and within the Leader Program 2014-2020, requested help for the Rehabilitation Project of the Old Schools of El Fenazar, approved by the Local Government Board of 29 December 2017. The Resolution granting aid for sub-measure 19.2 of the LEADER program of the General Directorate of Agrarian Funds and Rural Development of the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of June 29, 2018, includes the concession to the Molina de Segura City Council for an aid of 59,952.54 €, to undertake this project.
The works included in the project are aimed at the rehabilitation of the building: conditioning of toilets for the disabled, with renewal of coatings, flooring, installation of plumbing and sanitation, as well as carpentry;
facade and roof rehabilitation, installation of fire protection systems, interior painting and replacement of exterior carpentry, with installation of glass with air chamber, and lattice for protection against intrusion.
The execution period is two and a half months.
The building of the Old Schools is currently used by associations of El Fenazar, for municipal activities, Adult School and Jury of Irrigation.

Being the City Council of Molina de Segura member of the ADRI, companies can choose to present projects in competitive competition.
For the Line of Action 1.1, Creation and modernization of non-agricultural companies, companies have been presented to carry out 3 projects, in La Albarda, El Fenazar and La Espada.
