The City of Molina de Segura, through the Department of Public Road, Municipal Works and Infrastructures, carries out a total investment of 483,318.77 euros, corresponding to the project of works to improve the canon, which includes actions to improve the La Alcayna Drinking Water Reservoir, as well as improvement in various supply infrastructures, such as EBAP La Espada and La Torrealta Reservoir.
The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, and the Councilor for Public Roads, Municipal Works and Infrastructures, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, make a visit to the expansion works of the Depósito de La Alcayna today, Wednesday, July 18, at 7:00 p.m. , in the Urbanization La Alcayna (meeting point in Urban Entity).
The works to improve the Deposit of La Alcayna consist of the expansion of the tank body, which will allow to have two storage areas, and the extension in 596.00 m3 of the existing volume (2,084.00 m3), with a total capacity of storage of 2,680 m3 when the works are completed.
With the present extension, the tank is adapted to the sanitary needs, having two chambers, which will allow to carry out the correct repair, maintenance and cleaning tasks.
Also, with the expansion of the stored volume, in the event of a power cut, it will allow more time for supply before the neighbors are affected.
The municipal authorities will also visit other points of the urbanization of La Alcayna, where the City Council will soon undertake actions to resolve existing problems.
This is the case of the location and management proposal for the execution of the new traffic regulation roundabout on Picos de Europa Avenue with Calle Alborán.
And, finally, the proposed action on Calle Mizar, where there are problems of accumulation of rainwater.
These two actions will be executed with a charge to the 2018 Budgets, recently approved.
