The PP requests that the municipality carry out a greater control and surveillance of uncontrolled discharges (20/09/2018)

It also presents to the Plenary a motion that includes various improvements in the facilities of the IES Francisco de Goya, another on the Housing Plan 2018-2021 of the CARM and one last on the unit of Spain

This morning, the spokeswoman of the Popular Municipal Group, Sonia Carrillo, has announced at a press conference, the motions that the Popular Party has presented for study, debate and approval to the September plenary, which will be held on Monday 24 .

The first one is related to the control and monitoring of uncontrolled dumping.

"For months we have been observing how illegal deposits proliferate freely throughout the municipality, without exception in urban areas, districts, urbanizations and / or industrial estates.

It is the City Council which is responsible for ensuring that the rules are met, and therefore, it is the Town Hall that must control and monitor so that these landfills are not created, which also have a so-called effect.

Therefore, because these spaces not only harm the environment and public health, but are also dangerous for the citizen by not meeting the established safety standards, from the PP we have requested the Government a plan to gradually eliminate these dumps , returning its original status to the zones;

an increase in surveillance and control;

and the carrying out of information campaigns ", he explained.

The IES Francisco de Goya is the protagonist of the second initiative.

"Education has been and is one of the pillars of PP policy.

During our years of Government, we have decidedly committed to this, carrying out investments, even when they were not our responsibility.

We have always responded to the needs and demands of our schools and institutes, which has led us to have the best centers in the Region.

On this occasion we have collected a number of requests from the center itself and what we request is that the Ministry of Education be urged to carry out remodeling of the automotive workshops, adapt the house of the concierge as a support classroom and prepare the facilities sports ".

HOUSING PLAN 2018-2021

The Autonomous Community has launched the Housing Plan 2018-2021, after signing the agreement with the Ministry of Development last July.

Carrillo recalled that "this is a plan approved by the Government of Mariano Rajoy in March of this year, which is endowed with 80 million euros and includes different aid programs aimed at the most vulnerable and needy sectors.

By 2018, 17 million euros will be allocated and now is the time to request it, so we have requested through a motion that the City Council promote the request for aid from the Plan to the CARM in order that the largest number possible of neighbors of our municipality can be benefited by them ".

Finally, the Popular Party has presented a motion in defense of the unity of Spain due to the unfortunate, improper and irresponsible statements of the President of the Government Pedro Sánchez on the holding of the referendum in Catalonia.

"We are concerned that in these moments in which the president of the Generalitat threatens a new plan to break with Spain, Sanchez confessed himself a supporter of the referendum.

Although it does not surprise us since it is a toll that must pay its investiture partners, "he said.

"From the PP we will not allow the unity of Spain and the equality of all Spaniards to be left in the hands of the independentists.

Spain is a nation of free and equal citizens and in the face of the nationalist challenge, our commitment and conviction in the defense of the constitutional order and the current legality, "concluded the Popular councilor.
