The Department of Environment of the City of Molina de Segura joins the celebration of World Bird Day by offering different activities on 6 and 7 October, to raise awareness and awareness of the threats they face and how we can collaborate in your protection

participates in this event on Saturday, October 6 with the installation of an information point, which aims to raise awareness about the problems that birds are suffering around the world and about the actions that citizens can take to help alleviate this situation.
Volunteers will carry out various workshops and games to encourage attendees to be an active part in the conservation and protection of birds.
For its part, the Visitor Center of Las Lagunas de Campotéjar proposes for Sunday, October 7, various activities that will allow to know the species present in this Special Protection Area for Birds (ZEPA), which houses a rich and varied bird life, which It uses this wetland as a breeding, wintering and resting place during its displacements.
There will be a guided visit to Las Lagunas, a bird identification workshop and the release of birds from the Wildlife Recovery Center.
The program of planned activities is as follows:
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6TH.
From 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., in the Plaza de España, Molina Environmental Volunteering Program ¡Voluntari @ s Naturalmente !, with informative point in the handicraft market around the birds and dissemination of the program.
Workshops and games for the knowledge and protection of birds.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Information and Welcome Center of Visitors of Las Lagunas de Campotéjar, several activities:
10.30 am: guided tour of Las Lagunas de Campotéjar, a tour to learn about the richness of birds, especially aquatic, present in Las Lagunas.
Participants can make observations with telescope and binoculars.
12.30 pm: bird identification workshop, where participants will learn about the birds present in the wetland, their characteristics, where they live, and where they take refuge in Las Lagunas.
13.15 hours: release of birds from the Wildlife Recovery Center.

This year, the World Migratory Bird Day brings together two of the world's largest campaigns for bird awareness and education: the International Migratory Bird Day and the World Migratory Bird Day.
