The Hospital de Molina has been nominated for the TOP 20 Awards for Excellence in Global Hospital Management, which is delivered each year by the health information services company IASIST.

In its nineteenth edition, 140 hospitals and clinics throughout Spain have participated voluntarily, free and confidentially 65.7% come from the National Health System and 34.3% are private - of which 68 opt for one of the awards, which is will deliver on October 24, at a ceremony in Madrid.

Molina Hospital has ten TOP 20 for Excellence in Hospital Management in the category of General Hospital, and two more obtained in 2009 and 2015 - in its area of ​​Traumatology.

The evaluation of the results

The main objective of the TOP 20 Hospital Program is to identify good practice patterns (benchmarks) and recognize the work of those centers that have obtained the best results in the evaluation process.

For this, as in previous editions, IASIST evaluates 35 frequent clinical processes that encompass a total of 7 clinical areas: Heart, Respiratory, Nervous System, Digestive, Musculoskeletal, Kidney and Urinary Tract, and Female.

In addition, awards are granted to centers that stand out for the treatment of critical patients who have required admission to intensive care units.

The 36 awards for clinical areas are complemented by 26 global awards to hospitals with the best balance of results in all their activity by introducing efficiency indicators along with quality and adequacy indicators.
