Reception at the City Hall of Molina de Segura to the members of the football team Los Piratas of AFESMO, champions of the Supercopa Liga FEAFES (11/10/2018)

The act of reception to the football team Los Piratas, of AFESMO, champion of the Supercopa League FEAFES Salud Mental Región de Murcia, took place today, Thursday, October 11, in the Plenary Hall of the Molina de Segura Town Hall.

The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, the President of AFESMO, Delia Topham Reguera, and the Councilor for Public Health, Esther Sánchez Rodríguez, attended.

The futsal team of the Mental Health Association Molina y Comarca (AFESMO), known as Los Piratas, has just started the XII edition of the Liga Mental Health FEAFES Region of Murcia and has done so by winning the Supercopa, the first season title (in Molina de Segura, last September).

In the previous season, and for the third year in a row, the Molinense team won a double of titles with Supercopa FEAFES and Copa FEAFES (in San Javier, in June 2018), in addition to the second place in the playoffs (first place in the regular phase ).

The FEAFES League is organized by the Region Mental Health Federation of Murcia and the Football Federation of the Region of Murcia (FFRM).

In this competition 14 teams from the Region participate and around 180 players compete.

There are 4 competitions that are played during the year: Supercopa, Liga, Amje Cup (soccer 7) and Copa FEAFES (beach soccer).

It is also worth mentioning the participation in different national and international championships and tournaments, such as:

2014: Marco Cavallo tournament, in Trieste (Italy), getting the Fair Play trophy for sportsmanship.

2014: Selección Murciana, champions of the 7th International Soccer Tournament TikiTaka for Mental Health, held in Almeria.

6 AFESMO players participated.

2017: Selección Murciana, runners-up of the Miguel Acosta National Indoor Soccer Tournament, held in Malaga.

6 AFESMO players participated.

Above the sporting results, the general objective of the team Los Piratas is focused on favoring the recovery process and improving the quality of life of people with mental health problems.

The specific objectives are based on teamwork and defending values ​​such as respect, companionship, fair play, effort, ability to overcome and fight against stigma.
