The councils of Youth and Citizen Participation of the Molina de Segura Town Hall are launching the activities of the Youth Participatory Budgeting, arising from the participation process with young people that took place in 2017. The presentation ceremony took place today, Thursday 11th. October, and was attended by the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, the First Deputy Mayor and Youth Councilor, Fernando Miñana Hurtado, the Councilor for Citizen Participation, Pedro Jesús Martínez Baños, and the Coordinator of the event Zombie Infection, José Antonio López Palazón.
The participatory process, which is started up again with students of Secondary Education of the municipality, is oriented to promote a democratic and participative culture among the youngest ones from an experience of youth participation within the framework of the participatory budget, favoring an approach to the processes of youth participation in Molinense youth, between 12 and 16 years.
The activities that are derived from the participatory process with young people, and which are presented today, are: a colorful race, Festirun, with the theme Youth against gender violence, to be held on Sunday, October 28;
the Zombie Infection event, on Saturday, November 17;
and the Paintball Championship, on Saturdays, November 24 and December 1.
The inscriptions can be made through the web www.molinadesegura.es/juventud and, personally, in the Youth Council, in the El Retén Building.
All activities are aimed at young people from 12 to 25 years old who live, study or work in Molina de Segura.
Participants from 12 to 15 years old require authorization to participate in the activities.
The places are limited and free.
Participants can donate non-perishable food to the Red Cross upon registration or upon check-in.
The Festirun will feature animation, race colors, celebration of arrival to goal, music sessions, storms of color and many surprises for young people to live a unique experience of vitality, commitment and joy.
The race of colors is not competitive and suitable for all audiences, whatever their physical form. The general entrance included, shirt, bag of colored powders, wardrobe service and unforgettable moments of real fun.
On the day of the race it is OBLIGATORY to wear the shirt and the official back of the event, which can be collected on Friday, October 26, in the afternoon, and Saturday, October 27, morning and afternoon, at the Participation Space La Nueva 19 (on Calle Nueva, No. 19). There are 800 places.
For its part, the Zombie Infection event is a great game in which there are 350 participants, 25 zombies and actors.
It develops through the streets of the center of Molina de Segura.
In it, there will be some players who act as survivors and pass various tests in different places, and others who make zombies, who try to catch the rest of the participants.
In this case, the inscriptions are made in person at the Youth Council.
Paintball activity takes place in the hamlet of La Hurona de Molina de Segura.
Transportation is included, and there are 180 places to participate in this competition, where the teams throw paint balls and have fun competing.
