The Hospital de Molina receives the QH accreditation + 1 star of Hospital Quality (06/11/2018)

Two years after having obtained the QH Accreditation, Hospital de Molina improves in terms of Hospital Quality and receives the QH + 1 star accreditation from the Foundation Institute for the Development and Integration of Health (Fundación IDIS), within the framework of the V call for the QH-Quality Healthcare Accreditation of said Foundation, held this morning in Madrid.

"At the Hospital de Molina we maintain a strong commitment and an important commitment to quality and continuous improvement in our daily work: we work for processes, we use the Lean - Six Sigma methodology, we are certified in Quality and Environment by ISO Standards 9001 and 14001, also in Patient Safety and Prevention of Nosocomial Infections (UNE 179003 and UNE 179006), etc. Therefore, adding a star to the QH Accreditation, which we already had, means that with the work of the entire human team and Our Hospital professional is continuously improving and improving the quality levels of health care that we have been providing to the public, "says the Director-Manager of Molina Hospital, Pedro Hernández Jiménez, who has collected the Accreditation.

A total of 108 applications have been submitted to this V edition, of which 39 have done so to obtain accreditation for the first time;

27, to improve its category (as it has been in the case of the Hospital de Molina);

and 42, to renew the QH obtained in editions II and III, since this recognition has a validity period of two years.

The IDIS Foundation emphasizes that quality healthcare requires agility, efficiency, without waiting or delay, with the most appropriate means and the most advanced technology, and seeking the best health results based on the available scientific knowledge, trying to adapt each action to the needs of each person and taking into account their situation, circumstances and context.

Quality is specified in terms and needs of infrastructures, of all kinds of resources, of procedures and processes, of safety and of results fundamentally, and is quantified by indicators that range from the patient's own experience that with his opinion determines his ability to choice, up to the fact of measuring and improving all the attributes related to achieving the best possible health outcomes based on the evidence and existing scientific knowledge.

The synthetic quality indicator on which the QH accreditation is based (Quality Healthcare) combines all the most outstanding certifications in terms of quality, excellence in service, safety and social responsibility, among others;

and establishes an identification through a progressive system from the level of access to the system (stamp) up to the maximum creditable level of quality (stamp + 3 stars).

IDIS

The IDIS Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to value the contribution of private health to the health of our country and promote the improvement of the health of all Spaniards.

For this, it encourages and develops all the initiatives that from the private health are directed to the achievement of an optimal level of health care and health of all sectors of the population.
