The act of reception and delivery of recognition to Professor Ton Stok, responsible for Wellantcollege international programs, for his career favoring, promoting and contributing the activities of the CIFEAS throughout Spain, especially the CIFEA of Molina de Segura, in the development of programs of the EU in agricultural and agri-food training, took place today, Thursday, November 22, in the Plenary Hall of the Molina de Segura Town Hall.
The actress has presided over the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira.
Ton Stok has been, until last July, the date on which he retired, deputy director and coordinator of international programs of the Wellantcollege, an institution that brings together more than 20 Agricultural and Agri-Food Training Centers of the Netherlands.
Throughout his professional career, he has promoted countless international projects for agri-food training under the framework of the different European Union programs, such as Petra, Leonardo da Vinci, Erasmus, etc., developing actions and mobilities of students and teachers for all European countries, Asia and North America.
With the Region of Murcia and with the Integrated Training Centers and Agricultural Experiences, Ton Stok has maintained a close collaboration relationship over the last 25 years, providing the possibility for the CIFEAs to be involved in numerous plurinational projects of European scope , thus allowing these centers to develop an extensive network of contacts with peer centers, making possible the mobility throughout the European continent of professors and students of the regional agri-food sector, which has favored the achievement of a more extensive and competitive technical and didactic training for all of them.
The first activity promoted by Ton Stok with the Region of Murcia was carried out at the beginning of 1994 and consisted of a bilateral exchange of agricultural training students from the Groene Delta Center in Rotterdam with the CIFEA of Torre Pacheco, an experience that was repeated for several years. years.
Also as an activity aimed exclusively at agricultural training students from the Netherlands and the Region of Murcia, since the beginning and up to the present time, Dutch students have been receiving and sending students from our region for the development of practical stays of professional development in companies of the agri-food sector of both countries.
On the other hand, in recent years, and is already in the fourth edition, groups of students from the Wellantcollege of Rijswijk (Holland) come every year to the CIFEA of Molina de Segura to take a two-week intensive course on the meat industry and the sector of vegetable canning in the Region of Murcia, also making many visits to leading companies in these activities.
There have also been numerous projects promoted by Ton Stok aimed at professors and managers of training centers in the agricultural, livestock and forestry sectors throughout Europe and in which they have always invited to participate in some agricultural training center in the Region of Murcia .
