The Molina de Segura City Council and the MEMPLEO Association sign an agreement for the social and occupational insertion of drug addicts and the chronically mentally ill (28/11/2018)

The act of signature of the nominative grant agreement of the Molina de Segura City Council to the MEMPLEO, Mental Health and Employment Association of Molina de Segura took place today, Wednesday, December 28, in the town hall of Molinense.

The signature was attended by the Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, the President of the MEMPLEO Association, Delia Topham Reguera, and the Councilor for Policies for Training and Labor Insertion, Concepción Orenes Hernández.

The purpose of this agreement is the granting of a nominal grant from the Molina de Segura City Council, amounting to 11,500 euros, to the MEMPLEO Association to develop socio-labor insertion activities for drug addicts with associated psychiatric pathologies and chronic mental patients.

The funding comes from a grant from the Murcian Health Service, under the collaboration agreement between the City Council and the SMS, signed last July, in whose second clause the Molinense City Council promised to "financially support the non-profit organizations of profit that carry out actions of rehabilitation and socio-labor insertion of people with mental illness and / or drug addiction in process of recovery in the municipality ".

To fulfill this commitment, the Molina de Segura City Council formalizes the financial support to the MEMPLEO Association, by signing this agreement.

The activities developed by the association include specific actions that allow developing the agreement between the Molina de Segura City Council and the Murcian Health Service: the development of insertion program activities, the work promotion of Molina de Segura patients through the support to the insertion companies and the employment of said group, the realization of pre-labor workshops, the acquisition of specific knowledge and skills that allow people with chronic mental illness and ex-drug addicts to advance in their process of psychosocial rehabilitation, culminating in the search and access to a job, training to acquire the necessary habits for the development of a job, accompaniment actions, training and professional guidance, approaching people with mental health problems to the labor market, acquisition of skills, obligations and basic routines in any job;

activities all aimed at taking a step further in the personal and social rehabilitation of each worker and in their labor insertion.
