The Integrated Training Center and Agricultural Experiences (CIFEA) of Molina de Segura, under the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, formed last year about 5,000 students, of which 155 completed the different training cycles they developed in the center, 700 students took the continuous training course and another 2,257 participated in supervised courses.
Likewise, around 120 students attended courses of the Regional Service of Employment and Training (SEF) for unemployed, both their own and with other institutions.
The remaining 1,700 students participated in other training and collaboration activities of the center with public entities, professional organizations and companies in the sector.
Since its creation in 1970, the center has been closely related to the professional area of ​​vegetable canning.
He teaches various Vocational Training cycles of Middle and Higher Degree in the Food Industries and Environment branches.
It is also specialized in other agri-food sectors of importance in this Region such as meat, dairy, olive oil, fish or sweets, among others.
The center has incorporated new modalities of modular and distance training, dual vocational training, bilingual training, training actions for employment linked to professional and postgraduate certificates.
It also carries out specialization, exchange, cooperation and training and technical qualification actions for young people and trainers with countries of the European Union, Latin America and North Africa.
Likewise, it carries out complementary training and specialization actions, of international scope, aimed at updating and improving technically the professionals of the sector.
The CIFEA of Molina de Segura maintains a high demand of graduates by the companies of the sector and, in the last thirteen years, students of the center have obtained eleven extraordinary prizes of Professional Training of the Region of Murcia and a National Prize of Vocational Training .
National Reference Center
In 2011 it was qualified as a National Reference Center of Vocational Training in the professional family of Food Industries, Vegetable Preserves area.
This recognition has made it possible to launch training, innovation and technology transfer actions, participate in skills recognition procedures, new ways and tools for on-line and distance training, training of trainers programs and the establishment of a new framework for collaboration with institutions, organizations and companies in the sector.
The CIFEA has been granted the European Union's Erasmus Charter, the 'Healthy Local' badge and the 'Antonio Ruiz Jiménez' Award for Good Practices in Occupational Risk Prevention, awarded by the Community, among other distinctions.
