The VII Winter Cup of Jugger, organized by the Federation of Jugger of the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the Youth Council of the City of Molina de Segura, is held on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 February, at the El Romeral Municipal Sports Center .

The reception of players will take place on Friday, February 22.

The test was presented at a press conference today, Friday, February 15, by the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, the First Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Youth, Fernando Miñana Hurtado, and two representatives of the Jugger Federation of the Region of Murcia, Lola Garijo Menchón and Álvaro García Ródenas.

The VII Winter Cup is a unique competition in which more than 300 people will be organized in 36 teams from all over Spain.

It is located within a circuit of four national tournaments and, to date, the Winter Cup is considered the highest quality tournament and with the largest number of players among all the tournaments of the Spanish Federation of Jugger.

The jugger is a mixed sport of equipment of German origin.

He arrived in the Region of Murcia in 2011 and, since then, Murcia is a benchmark nationwide in this sport.

Currently there are more than 800 players in Spain, spread over more than 80 teams, competing to be the best in the national ranking.

Murcia is a benchmark nationally and internationally, both for the quality of the tournaments and the level of play of its players.

So much so that, currently, the three best teams in the Spanish ranking are from Murcia, associated with the Asociación Murciana de Jugger.

These teams have participated in the Deutsche Meisterschaft tournament in Germany, the main world tournament of this sport, getting very good positions in all the editions in which they participated.

The jugger is played with a ball called jugg, which is used to score points, and a certain variety of implements that players carry.

All the implements are subjected to a rigorous safety test before each tournament.

The objective of the game is to mark the maximum possible number of points by introducing the jugg into the base of the opposing team, located at the opposite end of the field.

Only one player of the five team members can take the jugg, the other players must use the different implements to block the opponent and thus prevent the opponent runner from scoring points.

The tournament will have the following schedule:
