The Manager of the Hospital de Molina, Pedro Hernández Jiménez, has been appointed Permanent Member of the Ramón y Cajal Academy of Health Sciences, in recognition of his professional career and prestige in the field of health.

In an act held last Saturday February 23 in Madrid, the Academy whose President is Dr. Mª del Carmen Slocker de Arce, and whose Vice President is Dr. Javier López-Ibor - has highlighted the excellent career of Hernández Jiménez.

Pedro Hernández Jiménez has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Murcia (UMU) and a Master's Degree in Socio-Sanitary Services Management from the UCAM.

He currently directs, and since 2011, the Hospital de Molina, in Molina de Segura.

His professional career goes through the Medical Direction of Sanitas in Murcia and Levante (1993-2001) and by the Management of the San Carlos Hospital in Murcia (2002-2010).

Currently, he is also a Trustee of the Medical Studies Foundation (FEM) of Molina de Segura, a member of the Municipal Health Council (Molina de Segura Town Council) and a member of the Regional Health Council of the Region of Murcia.

Since 2015, he is President of the Murcian Union of Hospitals and Clinics (UMHC) - of whose Board of Directors he has been a part since 2002 - and member of the Directive Board of the Private Health Employer at the national level (ASPE).

He is also a member of the Board of Directors of CROEM since 2015, and member of the Executive Committee of CROEM, since 2018.

In addition, he is Director of the Hospital de Molina Research Chair at the San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM).

The Ramón y Cajal Academy of Health Sciences aims to organize, promote, support and protect scientific and professional events, which have a direct or indirect relationship with the professional practice of Health Sciences, aimed at professionals of any field and people who are not professionals but interested in the subject matter of them.
