The Department of Tourism of Molina de Segura organizes the free guided tour URBAN SCULPTURE on Saturday, March 2 (27/02/2019)

The Department of Tourism of the City of Molina de Segura, in collaboration with the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia and the Regional Network of Tourist Offices, has organized the free guided tour URBAN SCULPTURE, aimed at the general public, which It will take place on Saturday, March 2, at 5:00 p.m.

An official tourist guide will show the route, which makes a tour of some of the main squares of Molina de Segura, in which sculptures of prestigious contemporary artists have been installed, so that factory spaces in the past have been reconverted into playful and cultural spaces for the enjoyment of citizens, such as the modern square of the Museum of the Enclave of the Wall (MUDEM), the Plaza de la Molinera or the Fayrén Garden.

The starting point is the Plaza de la Molinera.

The start is at 17.00 and the approximate duration is 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Both the duration and the route of the route allow it to be recommended for all audiences.

The visit begins in the Plaza de la Molinera, where you will see the Semiramis sculpture by Pepe Yagües;

then, in the Plaza del MUDEM, the Lady of Molina, by Manolo Valdés.

The visit continues along Calle Pensionista, where the Tourism Office is located, and arrives at the Plaza de la Iglesia de Ntra. Sra. De la Asunción.

Next, to Huerto Fayrén, where you will see the sculpture El Consejo de Manuel Mateo.

The next stop will be at the Pascual del Parador roundabout, where the sculpture La Menina by Pepe Yagües is installed.

This artist will join the group to describe his work and will accompany him at the end of the visit to the bridge of La Rambla, to contemplate the mural, made 30 years ago and recently restored, El Pecado Nuclear.
