Eva García Sáenz de Urturi, Antonio Orejudo, Sarah Lark, Agustín Fernández Mallo and César Fernández García participate in the program of the Writers Cycle in their ink 2019 of Molina de Segura (20/03/2019)

The first meeting of this edition will take place on Tuesday, March 26, at 8:00 pm, at the Salvador García Aguilar Library, with Eva García Sáenz de Urturi

The Department of Culture of the City of Molina de Segura organizes the thirteenth edition of the Writers Literary Encounter Cycle in its ink 2019, which covers March to May 2019. The cycle has been presented at a press conference, today, Wednesday, March 20 , by the Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, the Councilor for Culture, Pedro Jesús Martínez Baños, and the coordinator of the cycle, the journalist and writer Lola Gracia.

Since its first edition, this cycle of encounters with writers has received an enthusiastic response from the public, registering full in practically all acts.

The cycle has not only helped to foster the reading habit among the population, but has helped to turn Molina de Segura into a cultural reference in literary matters.

In the twelve previous editions of the cycle some of the most outstanding authors of the national and even international panorama have participated, from the French Michel Houellebecq, the Peruvian Alfredo Bryce Echenique or the Irish Ian Gibson, to living classics of Spanish literature such as Ana María Matute , Eduardo Mendoza, Enrique Vila-Matas, Javier Cercas, Rosa Montero, Fernando Savater, Almudena Grandes, Ray Loriga, Juan José Millás, Manuel Vicent and Luis García Montero, among many others.

This year the following writers will participate in the cycle:

EVA GARCÃA SÁENZ DE URTURI (March 26).

This author is an optometrist turned into a literata.

His first novel was published on Amazon, becoming a literary phenomenon.

Without a doubt, Sáenz de Urturi is the demonstration that times change and readers, too.

Signed by Planeta, she demonstrates a great narrative agility in her trilogy set in her hometown, Vitoria.

The silence of the white city shows us characters loaded with verisimilitude and a plot between baroque and surprising, with several unexpected turns that the public appreciates.

This first novel is followed by The Water Rites and The Lords of Time.

The past and its rituals are joined to the present by the hand of Inspector Kraken and Deputy Commissioner Diaz de Salvatierra, who become familiar and close to the reader.

ANTONIO OREJUDO (April 8).

Professor and writer, he has worked as a teacher in the United States, for seven years, and in Amsterdam.

According to Juan Antonio López Rivera, is one of the greatest representatives of writers born in the 60s. A generation without its own entity but with outstanding voices such as those of the author of Advantages of traveling by train, XV Andalusian short novel prize and defined by the President of the jury, Juan José Millás, as a masterpiece.

His latest novel, Los cinco y yo, could be considered autobiographical;

but what novel is not, adds the literary critic and doctor in Hispanic Philology.

In this case, the character is called Toni, diminutive of Antonio, and feels "that he is a writer who does not write and a teacher who does not teach" and that, like many of us, he grew up reading the adventures of The Five, written by Enid Blyton.

SARAH LARK (April 11).

Lark is actually a pseudonym of Christiane Gol, who also uses other pseudonyms: Ricarda Jordan, Elisabeth Rotenberg, Leonie Bell and Stephanie Tano.

As her fans know well, Christiane lives in Los Gallardos, Almeria, and she confesses to being an animal lover, because her frustrated passion is veterinary medicine.

Not in vain was she qualified as "the woman of the horses" for her more than 150 books on horsemanship.

She studied Education, worked as a journalist and advertising editor and was also a tourist guide, a profession that led her to get to know and love New Zealand.

In this country are the stories that have made her a recognized author.

His most successful novel, In the country of the white cloud, which was to be a single book, turned it into a trilogy due to its success.

Gohl is the author of more than fifty novels, signed with different pseudonyms.

AGUSTÃN FERNÁNDEZ MALLO (May 9).

Coincider of the term "poetry pospoética", the publication in 2006 of his work Nocilla Dream, of rapid success of public, was described by the critic as a regeneration of the narrative in Castilian, and the cultural press began to spread the term "Nocilla Generation" "to label his work together with that of a whole group of contemporary authors.

Among his influences are both canonical literature and science, film, advertising or conceptual art.

He has the City of Burgos Poetry Prize for his book Carne de píxel, Premio Biblioteca Breve for the novel Trilogía de la guerra (2018) and Cálamo Prize "Extraordinario 2018" for the whole of his work.

In addition to writing as a physicist, he also collaborates with various cultural magazines and with Juan Feliu forms the musical duo Frida Laponia.

CÉSAR FERNÁNDEZ GARCÃA (May 24).

Author of works within the genres of psychological thriller, metafiction, horror novel and children's literature, he combines university teaching as a professor of Literature at the Rey Juan Carlos University with his work as a novelist.

He has published more than thirty works ,?

Among those that stand out for their critical welcome Do not say you're alone (Honor Roll of the CCEI 2010 award), They (Prize City Jaén 2009) and The Last Witch of Trasmoz (Prize La Galera 2009).

In the prologue to his novel Donde vivir el miedo defends that "in the closest reality beats the most amazing and fantastic".

He gives lectures on Literature and Creative Writing in universities, libraries, reading clubs, schools and institutes.?

The human mind, as an exponent of the depth of the human being and source and scope of freedom and happiness, is a recurring theme in this author.

All meetings will take place at 8:00 pm in this library, with the exception of the meeting of César Fernández García, which will be held in the morning.
