Humanization at the Hospital de Molina: occupational integration of disability and promotion and dissemination of health (29/03/2019)

The Manager of the Molina Hospital, Pedro Hernández Jiménez, has participated in the III Congress of the Spanish Organization of Hospitals and Health Services (OEHSS) that, under the title "Innovation and Humanization, keys for the transformation of the health system", is celebrating since yesterday and today in Valencia.

Hernández Jiménez explained, in the framework of the debate "¿Humanization is key? Future", the main actions that the Hospital de Molina has in place to humanize the healthcare provided to its patients, such as the labor integration of disability and the promotion and dissemination of health: both, strategic lines of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the Hospital Center and integrated into its Mission, Vision and Values.

In this sense, the Hospital de Molina develops labor integration of the disability in a threefold direction: through service contracts with Special Employment Centers and Integration Labor Integration Companies, through the direct contracting of people with disabilities and their incorporation of stable way to its staff - currently, more than 7% of its staff is composed of people with disabilities -, and through training practices in the workplace: "At the Hospital de Molina we understand work as a therapeutic tool, because it helps create , to develop ideas, capacities and potentialities, because it helps people to feel identified, recognized and valued, both within the workplace and outside of it, and because while developing their work, they feel part of a human group and perform a role that serves to concretize objectives and projects, and their commitment and motivation increase ", has

explained Pedro Hernández Jiménez.

On the other hand, the Hospital de Molina has been developing a Health Promotion and Dissemination Program for years, the objective of which is to help patients in particular, and citizens in general, incorporate health into their day-to-day lives. to contribute with a health model focused on prevention and the promotion of healthy habits, so that patients and their families can be an active part of therapeutic procedures through information and adequate training.
