The Hospital de Molina has received the ASSIDO Award "Champions Award" from ASSIDO, in recognition of its contribution to the labor inclusion of people with Down Syndrome and Intellectual Disability, since it has been integrated into its workforce for more than ten years. , to a user of the Association.
During the event, the Manager of the Hospital Center, Pedro Hernández Jiménez, explained that "people with disabilities are an important nucleus in our society to which the Hospital de Molina is not indifferent." In fact, our commitment to disability is explicitly reflected in our Mission, Vision and Values, which we also put into practice, from practically our birth, integrating people with disabilities into our human team and regularly hiring the services of companies made up of people with disabilities. of ASSIDO, which demonstrates once again, our strong commitment to be a hospital that brings added value to the society that entrusts its health to our hands ".
The labor integration is a strategic line within the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the Hospital de Molina, which the organization carries out in two ways.
On the one hand, through the direct contracting of people with disabilities and their stable incorporation into their workforce, which has been carried out since 2006: currently, 7% of its workforce is made up of people with disabilities.
And on the other, through contracts for the provision of services with companies made up of people with disabilities, such as the DOCUVIVA Special Employment Center responsible for the digitization service, custody and certified destruction of the clinical records of the Hospital de Molina -, the ASPAPROS occupational workshop in charge of upholstering the armchairs of the hospital center's rooms -, the socio-labor insertion company TOTAL PRINT digital printing -, etc.
At the same time, the Hospital de Molina maintains a collaboration agreement with ASSIDO in order to provide practical training, supervised by professionals of the Hospital Center, to ASSIDO users, in tasks of administrative assistant and warden.
An agreement that aims to improve the quality of life of people with Down Syndrome and Intellectual Disability in the Region of Murcia and thus promote their school, family, social and work integration.
The award ceremony took place in the framework of ASSIDO's Charity Gala "Cena Campeones", held last Friday, March 29, at Hotel Nelva (Murcia).
