The Band of the IES Miguel Hernández de Bigastro (Alicante) will offer, for the eighth consecutive year, a didactic concert on the occasion of the celebration of the Cultural Week 2019, on Friday, April 5, at the CEIP Maestro Francisco Martínez Bernal (in José Antonio Street Vidal Serrano, n ° 80, by Molina de Segura).
The proposal of the concert and the economic cost of the same one is in charge, one more year, of the AMPA of the molinense school.
Since its creation, this association has been concerned with doing playful-formative activities in the school.
It is a concert designed for students between 3 and 11 years old, who can attend the different sessions during the morning.
About 600 schoolchildren will enjoy this musical initiative.
The didactic concert will be a pregón for the Cultural Week that the molinense school will celebrate between the days 8 and 12 of April.
This year music and painting have been taken as a common thread.
Thus, among other pieces, a band version of the song Eugenio Salvador Dalí de Mecano will be performed;
and another of Los painters, composition of Andrés Meseguer, singer born in the town of Molinense.
Raquel Méndez, school teacher, will participate in the interpretation of these songs.
Both versions have been adapted for the band by María Díaz, a former student of the IES Miguel Hernández, who is currently perfecting music studies in Rome.
María Díaz has always collaborated with the band of the Institute, when she was a student and in later years.
The band of the IES Miguel Hernández was created by the music teacher Manuel Beltrán (today Director of the Institute) in 2004. Since then it has been enriched by the activity of the young musicians of the town.
At the moment, the band is formed by 25 students, who study from 1st of ESO to 2nd year of Bachillerato.
Nearly 8% of the students of the center play an instrument.
In addition, for these didactic concerts the participation of former students of the IES is added.
From the beginning, the band has had the support of the cloister of Miguel Hernández and involves its creation, development and evolution, a task of almost all the didactic departments of the institute, meaning, Band and Music, as hallmarks of the Center.
The activity is organized by the music teachers of the IES de Bigastro, Manuel Beltrán García (director of the band) and Israel Escrivá Magraner (coordinator), and this year has also had the participation of Professor Francesc Faraig Pendas.
All in coordination with the teaching staff and direction of CEIP Maestro Francisco Martínez Bernal.
The activity has the support of the cloisters of these public centers, represented by their directors: Manuel Beltrán García (IES Miguel Hernández) and Fulgencio Monreal (CEIP Maestro Francisco Martínez Bernal).
