The Councilor for Economic Development of the City of Molina de Segura, José de Haro González, accompanied by the head of the Municipal Business Office, Santiago Pastor Palazón, made, on Monday, April 8, an institutional visit to the company's facilities molinense Flexográfica del Mediterráneo SL, located on the Industrial Avenue of La Polvorista Sur Industrial Estate, on the old N-301 road.

After having a working meeting with the people in charge of the firm, Raúl Cremades Prieto, manager, and Juani Hita García, from the Financial Department, toured the facilities, knowing first-hand the excellent equipment of the veteran society dedicated to manufacturing of plastic and cardboard packaging, and cutting-edge packaging for food, through offset and flexography essentially.

The City of Molina de Segura wanted to congratulate the company for the latest awards and awards granted internationally, thanks to its perseverance and technical ingenuity, such as the Worldstar awards in 2016 to the best packaging in the world for its smurf tray, or in 2017 the same award for his kidnapping bag, in addition to the special distinction with gold medal as the best container in food savings.

The family business, from a well-known branch of pharmacy in the city, and the great vegetable canning industry Industrias Prieto, lies in the old and famous company of 1973 Delphos Industrias Gráficas, which disappeared after a great fire, and dedicated to the lithography for the food industry, including gravure, flexography, offset and adhesive lines.

In 1994, Artemol Graphics was reborn from its ashes, and soon it had to close due to financial problems.

Already in 2000, the next generation is incorporated with great business challenges, before the obsolescence of the teams.

In 2006, the current FLEXOMED was created for the flexible and ENVAGRAF for the casework.

When the crisis of 2007 came, the firm was prepared to face the new challenges of the new conjuncture.

Finally, in 2015 Envagraf merged with Flexomed, to become a single company.

It currently occupies 5,000 m2 of facilities on the service road of La Polvorista Sur, with a workforce of some 90 employees, and a turnover of 11.6 million euros last year, with the intention of reaching this year the turnover of the 13 million euros.

After several recent additions in its manufacturing chain, the company has established itself as one of the largest and most important integrated presses in the southeast of Spain, with a technological, human and creative level worthy of praise.

The great work it has done has made it possible to obtain and maintain important suppliers and customers, such as Mercadona, Francisco Aragón, Fini Golosinas, Cola Cao or Jake.

The company also plans, in the medium term, the expansion of its facilities in ships close to the current one, a key project to be able to increase production and the services and products it offers, drawing a leading society, with a sustainable and promising future.
