The City of Molina de Segura has acquired by renting five new vehicles for the Local Police, to which is added a van that was already available and which has been adapted as a mobile office for citizen attention.
The presentation of the new vehicles took place today, Thursday, May 23, in the Plaza de España, with the assistance of the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, the First Deputy Mayor and Local Police Councilman, Fernando Miñana Hurtado, the Contracting Councilor, José de Haro González, the Deputy Chief Inspector of the Local Police, José Pérez Almagro, and the head of the company Transtelsa, supplier of the new vehicles, José J. Arnau.
All vehicles are equipped with a state-of-the-art functional kit for the police, have ballistic armor and have been labeled with the new corporate image, in line with the recent change of uniformity of the Local Police and in line with the trend that is following in the rest of the Region of Murcia.
Three of the vehicles, Toyota brand, have hybrid technology and automatic transmission.
In addition, they have the ECO label of the DGT, which makes them more efficient and ecological.
Two of these patrol cars, Prius Plus models, will serve in the Citizen Security Unit, so, with security agents in mind, they are equipped with a detainee transportation kit.
The third vehicle, model RAV4, has the benefits of an SUV, suitable to provide service in the Environmental Unit.
The two remaining vehicles are vans of the brand Citröen, model Jumpy, of nine seats, which are destined, one to the Unit of Attempted, while the other will have a polyvalent use by the Local Police of Molina de Segura.
