The City of Molina de Segura, through the Youth Council, has organized the first edition of the MANGA Molina de Segura 2019, which is held on September 27, 28 and 29, in Halls 2 and 3 of the Municipal Sports Center The Romeral, with comics, movies, exhibitions, series, video games, leisure, cosplay, games and music.
The event was presented at a press conference today, Thursday, May 30, in the town hall of Molinense, by the First Deputy Mayor and Youth Councilor in office, Fernando Miñana Hurtado, the cartoonist Salva Espín, and the organizers of the Manga Room, Toni Fernández Piqueras and Yolanda Castaño.
The aim of the Manga Molina de Segura Salon is to keep alive the interest and the fondness for the world of comics, videogames, movies, television and anime series, enhancing the culture of entertainment and offering a new date of reference for fans of Molina de Segura and all of Murcia, where they can meet, learn about news, meet their favorite actors and artists, attend presentations, or acquire all kinds of material related to leisure and comics.
The audience that attends this event is as varied and heterogeneous as the formulated entertainment offer, and its age ranges from 8-10 year olds who are attracted to reading, video games or animation series, up to Adults 35-40 years and older with a long fondness for movies and fantasy series, comics and illustration.
The concept of the Molina de Segura Manga Exhibition revolves around the North American convention model that has become popular in recent decades and has been exported to many countries, adapting it to the tastes of the Molinian public.
The content is divided into large areas of differentiated content, interrelated to each other, but independent in relation to their programming:
COMIC AREA
The comic section will have the presence of cartoonists, Spanish and international, who have focused their work on the two major North American publishers of superheroes: Marvel Comics and DC Comics.
These cartoonists star in sessions of sketches and signatures with the public that attends the event, as well as talks and lectures about their works or famous comic characters.
In this section there are also different exhibitions dedicated to different characters, anniversaries, series or comic authors of special relevance for the public.
Those characters and series that reach an important anniversary, as well as the most influential authors of the moment, will also be the center of tributes, talks, exclusive screenings, contests and other celebrations.
Along with the authors Marvel and DC, there will also be a large group of cartoonists and comic writers, manga authors, illustrators, writers and creators of animation series, which will feature presentations, round tables, signature sessions and sketches, etc. , to offer an overview of the world of comics that exists outside of superheroes.
One area of ​​special importance is the Artist Alley, a space where cartoonists and comic authors are in contact with the public, making drawings, signing their works and offering their illustrations to visitors.
In this section several thematic exhibitions of figures are also installed, focused on the best-known comic book franchises, action movies and anime, showing the public selected and exclusive pieces of brands as prestigious as Sideshow Collectibles, Kotobukiya, Hot Toys, Lego, Neca or Bandai.
AREA OF CINEMA AND SERIES
In this area all kinds of activities are organized before the attending public, such as series and film presentations, screenings, exclusive workshops, or talks and lectures on different aspects of the film and television world.
Will be present dubbing actors of well-known series of fantastic themes, which will be the protagonists of talks and panels, meetings with the public, photocalls, press conferences and presentations of their latest television works.
In addition, the public that attends the convention can enjoy different exhibitions, private collectors, objects from well-known films, film sagas and television series.
The first edition of the Manga Molina de Segura Show will feature the exhibition Cars Movie, which presents the public with well-known series vehicles and films such as The Team A or The Fantastic Car, being one of the main visual attractions of the convention.
In the section dedicated to the cinema and the series are also present different official clubs of films and television series of characters of fantastic genre, as well as conferences and talks.
Characterized groups will realize parades, marches and other actions destined to entertain the visitors, who will be able to interact with them in the most fun ways or take pictures in the various photocalls arranged in this area.
VIDEO GAMES AREA
Video games are the absolute protagonists of a wide area where fans can enjoy the games installed on the latest generation consoles of their favorite platforms, and face each other in various videogame tournaments that are organized during the convention.
In this area there are also gaming devices, and talks about the videogame industry, as well as photocalls for an interactive experience with the community of players.
COMMERCIAL AREA
The shopping area of ​​Manga Molina de Segura Lounge will be integrated by numerous stores specialized in comics, manga, anime, K-POP, cinema, videogames and related merchandising, which are responsible for making available to the public a wide range of products related to your favorite hobbies.
Likewise, there will also be places available for fans to meet authors or designers, who will carry out various promotional actions, such as contests, presentations of novelties, or talks about new launches.
LEISURE AREA
The space dedicated to leisure will have areas dedicated to games, where attendees can play with other visitors, meet new games and learn their mechanics, or participate in tournaments in which to get different prizes.
This section will also have a wide variety of workshops and activities designed to entertain visitors, and an area dedicated to the world of collecting, whose themes are related to pop culture.

- Friday 27: from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday 28: from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Sunday 29: from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
