The Department of Equality of Molina de Segura delivers the prizes of the XXIV Literary Contest of Poetry and Short Story and of the XX Painting Contest March 8, 2019 (07/06/2019)

The award ceremony of the XXIV Literary Contest of Poetry and Short Story and the XX Painting Contest March 8, 2019, organized by the Department of Equality of the City of Molina de Segura, took place yesterday, June 6, in the Auditorium Virginia Martínez Fernández, at the MUDEM.

Attending the Councilwoman in functions of Equality, Rocío Balsalobre Sánchez.

The Molina de Segura City Council, through the IV Equal Opportunities Plan between Women and Men, in its Area VI, Culture and Sports, objectives 1 and 2, contemplates specific actions for such purposes.

The XXIV Literary Contest of Poetry and Short Story and the XX Painting Contest March 8, 2019 are framed in the actions and objectives outlined, thus endowing a vision of gender to the cultural production processes of Molina de Segura, promoting the access of women and men in various cultural expressions and their active participation as interpreters of their own production.

The Councilor acting Equality considers these actions "necessary to achieve equality between women and men."

The act of delivery was enlivened by a piece of micro theater of 15 minutes of duration, Hidden with the Devil, interpreted by Mario Moya, Vanesa Terrés and Brígida Molina.

In the exhibition hall of the MUDEM the pictorial works of the contest are exhibited, from June 4 to 9, during the museum's time.

3rd Prize: Echoes of the past, by Nuria Sánchez Nicolás
