The City of Molina de Segura, through the Municipal Business Office, studies the possibility of signing a collaboration agreement with the Organization of Business and Professional Women (OMEP) of the Region of Murcia in order to revive the local economy and promote the association and entrepreneurship of women in the municipality.
This matter was discussed at the meeting held Monday, July 22, at the headquarters of OMEP, by the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, and the Councilor for Economic Promotion and Strategy, José de Haro González, accompanied by the Head of the Municipal Business Office, Santiago Pastor Palazón, with the President of OMEP, Carmen Bottle, and two of the components of its board of directors, Isabel Cobarro and Luisa Fe.
Through this future collaboration agreement between both entities, the City Council offered the participation and active collaboration of the Municipal Business Office in matters related to women's entrepreneurship.
There was also talk of the possibility of opening an OMEP delegation in Molina de Segura, as the regional head of Vega Media, providing the City Council with a place attached to the future location of the COM-PRO Association.
In addition, the connection with the new Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Altorreal was discussed, in order to coordinate.
Likewise, other topics of interest were addressed, such as work and family reconciliation, with the opening of nurseries in business areas of Molina de Segura, the creation of a database of Molinense businesswomen or a mutual cooperation in social networks.
Finally, the City Council offered a list of candidates to present to the annual awards of Women Entrepreneurs of OMEP, and to the Sectorial tables of Businesswomen to be held in September in Murcia.
The first contact was very positive, with a battery of measures to study quite extensive.
