Next Saturday, August 31, Molina de Segura starts one of the most anticipated activities of its 2019 Festivities, the XII Tapas, Cocktail and Dessert Route MOLINA DE TAPAS, thus consolidating itself as one of the main gastronomic and leisure attractions from the Region of Murcia.
The initiative, organized by the Department of Commerce of the City of Molina de Segura and the Gastronomic Association of Molina de Segura, with the sponsorship of Estrella de Levante, has 32 participating locations in this edition, divided into six areas, which will offer up to September 22 a total of 27 tapas, 4 desserts and 5 cocktails, at a price of 1.99 euros, 2 euros and 3 euros, respectively.
The Route has been presented at a press conference, today Friday, July 26, at the Pub D´Ronda, by the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, the Councilor for Tourism, Commerce and Handicrafts, Andrés Martínez Cervantes, the President of the Gastronomic Association of Molina de Segura, Juan Efrén Delgado Valero, the Director of Communication and Public Relations of Estrella de Levante, Yayo Delgado, and the II Ambassador of the Route, the Molinese chef Tomás Écija, as well as representatives of the participating venues .
In the same act, the City of Molina de Segura has signed a collaboration agreement with the Gastronomic Association with the aim of promoting local hospitality as an economic engine of the municipality through the celebration of the XII Route of the Tapa, Cocktail and Dessert.
Molina de Tapas seeks to promote regional cuisine and value the products of the land.
A great variety of creative and delicious tapas, made with top quality natural ingredients, for all tastes and palates, which are accompanied by the sweet touch that confectioners put.
In addition, there will be the most spectacular cocktails, while all accompanied by an interesting program of leisure activities.
This section includes the Sound Tapas, a musical proposal that will be held on Saturday, September 14 in various streets and squares of the town, with concerts and DJ sessions, at noon and afternoon.
Likewise, the participating establishments have developed the Tapea with Music program, which will be developed, with different schedules and locations, during the weekends of the Molina de Segura Festivities.
The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, has highlighted the importance that this initiative has for the local hospitality sector, which is consolidated as a "spearhead of the exterior image of Molina de Segura".
Clavero has thanked the involvement in Molina de Tapas of all the people and groups that make this route possible, and has highlighted the municipal commitment to Moline's hospitality and commerce.
All the participants of the Route will be able to vote until September 23, through the form that appears in the classic route, for the Best Tapa, the Most Innovative Tapa, the Best Dessert and the Best Cocktail.
They can also participate in the raffle, on October 17, of different prizes valued as a whole at more than 3,000 euros.
Social networks will occupy an important place to enrich the experience of participation in the Route.
The contest returns on Instagram with the hashtag # molinadetapas12, with which the winner will receive as a prize his height in boxes of Estrella de Levante beer.
The II Ambassador of the Route will be represented this year by Molinense chef Tomás Écija, a leading restaurateur in Murcian cuisine that accumulates awards as Best Young Chef of Murcia in 2008 and Best Young Entrepreneur of the Region of Murcia in 2017. He will be presented at The City of Molina de Segura on September 1, at 12 noon, and will also participate in the innovative SHOW COOKING MOLINA DE TAPAS, live show where chefs and sommeliers and other gastronomy professionals will approach the neighbors of Molina de Segura the best and latest in the sector.
