The climate change awareness event Get out of your ¼, the ½ Environment needs you, Entero, convened by the Molina teaching group, sings for the weather, in collaboration with the Department of Environment of the City of Molina de Segura and the Education for the 21st century, is celebrated on Friday, September 27, at 10:00 a.m., in the Plaza de España.

Students and teachers of the municipality will demand the adoption of measures to curb climate change.

The Molina Canta por el Clima collective is a group of teachers integrated in the Teachers for future Spain-Profes movement for the future, who, concerned about the state of climatic emergency in which we are living, carry out actions for sustainability in management of the teaching centers and for incorporating Environmental Education in the educational curriculum.

Within the framework of these actions, they summon the Educational Community of the municipality to join this protest event, which is expected to be attended by some 2,000 people, including students, teachers, mothers and fathers, and with which a series of activities culminates. educational projects on climate change that have been developing this week, coinciding with the worldwide mobilizations around the celebration of the 2019 Climate Action Summit of the United Nations.

The Councilor for the Environment, Mariano Vicente Albaladejo, believes that "the fight against climate change must be part of the priorities and objectives of the local administration, which must address it in a comprehensive and transversal way, and be subject to awareness and awareness actions from participation and social involvement Initiatives such as this group show us that citizens no longer consider climate change as a distant problem in its causes and consequences, but as a phenomenon that affects us all and on which we can all influence ".
