Responsible for the URBACT sustainable urban development European project visit Molina de Segura (13/11/2019)

On the occasion of the participation of Molina de Segura in the European URBACT III CITIES4CSR project, Comprehensive municipal strategies to promote and stimulate corporate responsibility in urban areas, on Wednesday, November 13 and Thursday, November 14, they visit the Chiara Minotti municipality of the Department of European Union and Foreign Affairs of the City of Milan, project leader, and Steffen Wetzstein, expert leader and European evaluator of URBACT.

On Wednesday, November 13, in the City Hall of the City Council, the Second Deputy Mayor, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, and the City Councilor, Julia Fernández Castro, held a meeting with both responsible for the European project.

Previously, a meeting of the Local Urbact Group with Chiara Minotti and Steffen Wetzstein has taken place in the Boardroom of the town hall.

Today's program of activities continues, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a visit to SOLTEC and Francisco Aragón companies, and, at 6:30 p.m., in the auditorium of the CEIP Ntra. Sra. De Fatima (in Avenida García Lorca , n ° 70), with the meeting of the Urbact Local Group.

A visit to the neighborhood under intervention is also planned, in this case the Fatima neighborhood.

And for Thursday, November 14, from 09.00 to 12.00, there will be a working meeting of the local team Urbact, City Hall of Milan, University of Murcia, and Steffen Wetzstein.

URBACT III CITIES4CSR's main purpose is to address urban and social challenges in a comprehensive manner in the area of ​​the Fatima District and its surroundings, through the creation of an Integral Action Plan in an innovative and collaborative manner, based on participation participation and efforts between citizens, their representatives, businesses and local administration.

This project is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) by 85%.

Molina de Segura is one of the 17 Spanish municipalities that participate in the URBACT III program, a set of exchange and learning activities, financed by the European Union through the ERDF, which promotes sustainable integrated urban development, within the framework of the Europe 2020 strategy.
