Radio Compañía, the municipal broadcaster of the City of Molina de Segura, will receive this Tuesday, November 19, the ONCE Region of Murcia Solidarity Award 2019, in the media category.
The awards ceremony will take place at 7:00 pm, at the Teatro Circo de Murcia, Gala that the ONCE wishes to share with the citizens of the Region.
The ONCE recognizes with this award those institutions, media, natural person, company or estate of the Administration that have exalted values ​​related to the integration of people with disabilities and the removal of physical and mental barriers.
In the category of media, program, article or communication project, the Solidarios Award goes to Radio Compañía, for its collaboration with people with disabilities, specifically with those with mental illness in the town of Molina de Segura, through of the "Locuaces" Program, carried out by workers and users of the Mental Health Association of the Vega Media Region, AFESMO, in coordination with the station's staff.
The space is broadcast on the last Thursday of each month, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. via 98.8 FM and www.radiomolina.com
The Director of Radio Company, Juan Luís Vivas Navarro, has indicated that "it is a great pride to receive such a prestigious solidarity award in the Region and a motivation to continue working in collaboration with the social organizations of the municipality and, particularly with AFESMO, association to which we appreciate that he proposed to us in the announcement of these awards ".
The head of the municipal radio station of the City of Molina de Segura recalled that "we have been giving voice to groups of people with disabilities for many years with the aim of giving them visibility and normalizing their lives, overcoming the stigmas of those who have more difficult access to certain resources. "
Vivas Navarro adds that, in the case of AFESMO, "the radio collaboration goes back more than a decade."
After a break, this collaboration was resumed, more than a year ago, with the Locuaces program, a space created with great enthusiasm by the users of this association. "
The Councilor Delegate of Radio Company, Juan Antonio Cantero Nicolás, congratulated the station for this award, "which values ​​the good work of its professionals and, at the same time, the commendable task that many associations in the city do" .
The mayor has said that, from the municipal government, "we are making an effort to place our station in the place it deserves and hence we are betting on improving both its technical and human resources."

In the category of Institution, Organization, Entity, NGO, the prize goes to Hostemur, Federation of Hospitality Entrepreneurs of the Region of Murcia, for their involvement and collaboration in dissemination and awareness campaigns, especially with people with disabilities.
The Physical Person awarded with the ONCE Region of Murcia Solidarity Award is Asensio Piqueras Panadero, for his career in the promotion and promotion of culture, highlighting artists from our Region, collaborating with disability, in the dissemination of access to culture / reading of blind people, promoting their visibility in the celebration of the Book Fair of the city of Murcia.
In the category of Company, the Solidarity Award goes to J. García Carrión, for his commitment to hiring people with disabilities, including in his workforce workers with different disabilities, and collaborating in the coordination of services with Third Sector entities , like Ilunion.
Finally, in the Estamento category of Public Administration, the award goes to the CEIP Nuestra Señora del Carmen, for its trajectory in collaboration with entities of the associative movement of disability, as well as the Third Sector, and for the inclusion in its ideology of values ​​of Equality, diversity, solidarity and cooperation.
