The Department of Gender Equality and Violence, on the occasion of the commemoration of the "International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women," presents the book, "The Roses of Abuse," by Manuela Martínez Ortiz, at the Salvador Municipal Library García Aguilar de Molina de Segura, this Tuesday, November 26 at 6:00 p.m.
The Councilor for Gender Equality and Violence, María Montserrat Montanos Villegas, considers support for these initiatives essential, since this book is a complaint about the scourge of abuse.
"The roses of abuse", is a work based on real events, of a girl who began to live, suffered the bad actions of machismo.
Getting out of that nightmare, after 30 long years.
The book tells its story with the only mission and the desire that no person be silent in the face of injustices.
Manuela Martínez Ortiz was born in Puebla de Don Fadrique, on June 5, 1971, she is the youngest of eleven brothers.
His childhood was, that of a solitary bird, in the fields where he grew up.
The mountains were the place to meet the echo and its own existence.
Mother of five children, the author states that they are the reason for her awakening every dawn.
Their dreams, says Manuela Martínez Ortiz, fell asleep one day, and it was their children who fought them to recover and fulfill them.
Since 2016 he organizes poetry recitals, publishing his first book "The miracle of faith."
In November 2019, his second publication, "Las rosas del maltrato", the book that is now presented in Molina de Segura, has come to light.
