José Luis Mozo presents his second novel, "The Carpenter and the Kingdom", in the Salvador García Aguilar Library (26/11/2019)

The Salvador García Aguilar de Molina de Segura Library (Avenida del Chorrico, n ° 44) hosts on Wednesday, November 27, at 7.30 pm, the presentation of the second novel by the Madrid writer José Luis Mozo, "The Carpenter and the Kingdom "(Editorial Manuscripts).

This historical novel, whose presentation will be carried out by the doctor, journalist and writer from Moline, Francisco Conesa López, recreates biblical moments in an exciting and novel way.

A Galilean teenager, pregnant of unknown origin, faces the curse and contempt of her neighbors who threaten to stone her.

But that girl, with a fragile appearance, hides an iron temper given to a secret revenge: to get her son to become king.

With the sole help of a humble carpenter, who, hopelessly in love with her, will face dishonor, hardship and mockery, they will be able to turn the cause of the young Marian into a serious threat to the factual powers of Jerusalem.

The imperial Rome of the Octavian and Tiberian Caesars, and their eastern provinces, serve as a framework for this story of unleashed passions and ambitions.

The survival of the exploiters of an oppressed people begins to feel compromised by the growing credibility of the new king candidate.

The sordid conspiracy that will give tragic end to the dreams of the Galilean will, however, be the beginning of a new light that will end all of them and that will illuminate the West until the current century.

A true literary revelation, powerful and disturbing that catches the reader from the beginning, going through supposedly known stories, but that the writer transforms into unexpected turns.

History of passions and ambitions unleashed in Imperial Rome.

Sordid conspiracies and intrigues that reach our time.

A clairvoyant vision and updated review of the great history of mankind.

José Luis Mozo (Madrid, 1947).

After an early vocation that led him one day to be a finalist in the Nadal Prize for Literature, he relegated literary creation to other academic and professional activities.

His professional career is spent as an executive of multinational companies and also as a successful entrepreneur.

The prestige obtained in the performance of his professional work has not prevented him from keeping alive the fondness for literature, and at maturity he decides to resume his first literary dreams with the publication in 2014 of the novel "La barca del Portuguese", which is visionary ahead of the controversial "Submission" of Houellebecq, and that is a "novel that shows us a surprising future that many will qualify as unlikely, but that no one would dare to describe as impossible."

Encouraged by the success of the work, of which there was a second edition, today we are surprised with this new historical novel "The Carpenter and the Kingdom", which will not leave anyone indifferent.
