Reception at the City of Molina de Segura to the participants in the European educational project ERASMUS + (09/12/2019)

The act of reception to the group of participants in the European educational project ERASMUS + and Educational Guidance and Psycho-Pedagogical Team of Molina de Segura (EOEP) ​​took place today Monday, December 9, in the Plenary Hall of the City Council.

The Second Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Education of the City of Molina de Segura, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, and the Director of EOEP, Juana Guillén, attended.

The project is developed by the EOEP from September 2019 until August 2021, under the title Prevention of early school leaving and school failure through the implementation of inclusive methodologies and collaboration between families and teachers.

Among its objectives are a reflection at European level on: what are the needs of teachers in relation to the implementation of inclusive methodologies to prevent dropout and school failure;

what degree of participation and collaboration do families have as a factor in preventing these phenomena;

and analyze our educational systems, laws and practices to know what our strengths and weaknesses are.

Today, Monday, December 9, the opening meeting is held to welcome 20 professionals from the educational context of five institutions in the following countries: Croatia, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Portugal.

Given that Spain, and especially the Region of Murcia, still have very high school dropout rates, the National Agency for the development of Erasmus + projects (SEPIE) proposed as a priority the approach to these phenomena that allow, as far as possible , reduce them, as they jeopardize the effective social and labor integration of young people.

The project is coordinated by the Molina EOEP.

The rest of the partners are: an orientation team from Cluj-Napoca (Romania);

a cooperative specializing in multimedia materials development and working with teachers to increase the implementation of innovative and inclusive methodologies in Athens (Greece);

a school in a village in Croatia;

another school of a village in Bulgaria;

and, finally, a local educational administration specialized in the implementation of creativity and art projects in the schools of the Óbidos area (Portugal).

Within this project, the following main activities will be developed over the two years:

Teaching-learning activities in each participating country: observation of good practices and workshops on inclusive methodologies and learning communities (Spain);

ways to include multiple intelligences in the classroom (Croatia and Bulgaria);

ways of working between parents-teachers and parents-students (Bulgaria);

introduction of creativity in the classroom (Portugal) and other inclusive methodologies (Greece).

European Network of Inclusive Schools.

Using the different digital platforms and tools, a network of inclusive schools will be launched to give educational centers the opportunity to continue enriching themselves after the completion of the project.

Guide to good practices on the prevention of drop-out and school failure that will include a chapter on the statistical analysis of teachers and parents' needs on these aspects obtained in each country;

a chapter by innovative and inclusive approach (multiple intelligences, cooperative learning, project-based and problem-solving learning, e-learning, gamification, flipped classroom);

a chapter on the suitability of the Learning Communities approach, among other contents.

Throughout these years, there will be different dissemination activities (brochures, bookmarks, etc.) and informative meetings, in order to disseminate as much as possible materials that may be useful for teachers and families, as well as invite them to our courses and workshops.

In the end, there will be an event of greater entity to present the guide of good practices.
