The Other Look, by Elisa Fernández, organized by the Department of Tourism of the City of Molina de Segura, opens to the public on Thursday, March 5.
The opening ceremony will take place at 8.30 pm, in the Los Postigos Exhibition Hall (in Calle Pensionista, n ° 3).
The exhibition will remain open to the public until April 19 and can be visited: mornings, from Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 1.30 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays, from 11 am to 2 pm;
and afternoons, from Tuesday to Friday, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
"The exhibition I propose consists of 17 pieces of various measures, some of them being large format," according to its author, Elisa Fernández.
"The works that are exhibited here are images of my trip to India, about two years ago, and are made on canvas with acrylic paint."
They show acts of everyday life, ways of dressing and culture, as well as their faces convey peace and tenderness.
There are also wonderful monuments, such as the Taj Mahal, temples full of magnificent and sometimes cruel stories, as well as small workshops with natural pigments and gold, of exquisite sensitivity.
All this can not be appreciated, if it is not done with Another Look.
As the artist explains, "sometimes we look and do not see, sometimes we see without looking and dream what we see. When we are able to look, see and not imagine, we realize that there are other different looks and no less beautiful In Another Look I want to highlight that real existential difference, far from our little world and open horizons with our eyes. "
