The Government of Spain allocates 300,000,000 euros to social policies, corresponding to 9,248,806 euros to the Region of Murcia, to attend to the social needs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The City of Molina de Segura will receive a total of 265,163 euros to cover the material and coexistence needs faced by the population, and especially the most vulnerable groups, for the decreed isolation measures and the closure of social centers, according to Today, Saturday, April 11, explained the First Deputy Mayor, Councilor for Social Welfare and spokesman for the Municipal Monitoring Committee of COVID-19 in Molina de Segura, Ángel Navarro García.
This extraordinary loan will go mainly to direct financial support to families with difficulties affected by COVID, care for large and single-parent families, emergency aid to meet basic needs caused by COVID-19 (food, medicines, receipts for supplies, etc.) and home support measures for the most vulnerable, isolated and disabled people.
From the Social Services Center, and following instructions from the local Government, a technical proposal has been designed that includes measures to face emerging needs due to extraordinary social situations. To meet the social needs that may arise, social services They will attend by telephone every day, including weekends and holidays, on the telephone lines 968 64 40 20 and 968 64 40 80, uninterruptedly, from 08:00 to 21:00.
"The Social Services of the Molina de Segura City Council make themselves available to the public from Monday to Sunday, working intensively and continuously to maintain, during the social crisis caused by COVID-19, the social welfare of the population and the prevention of situations of psychosocial risk that generate negative effects in groups of special vulnerability, "says Ángel Navarro.
