The Government Delegation delivers to the City Council 18,000 protection masks against COVID-19 (12/04/2020)

The Government Delegation in the Region of Murcia has delivered, today Sunday, April 12, a total of 18,000 face masks to protect against the COVID-19 pandemic to the Municipality of Molina de Segura, which will be distributed between Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 April, in the main points of the municipality, intended for those who have to move to work and it is more complex to maintain the safety distance, according to reports by the First Deputy Mayor of the Molina de Segura City Council and spokesman for the Municipal Monitoring Committee of COVID-19 in the municipality, Ángel Navarro García.

The action aims to improve the protection measures that must be enabled by the 5,000 companies in the town in terms of health prevention and safety.

The distribution of this contingent of masks will take place on Monday the 13th, first thing in the morning, and on Tuesday the 14th, at noon, by members of the Civil Protection, Local Police, National Police and Municipal Warehouse.

The places chosen for its distribution are the main entry and exit routes to Molina de Segura, attracting all those employees who are preparing to work, as well as in the basic necessities of the municipality.

Specifically, the five designated distribution points are the roundabouts of the La Serreta and El Tapiado Business Area, on Avenida de la Industria (formerly National Highway 301);

the Las Salinas roundabout, on the RM-411 Molina-Fortuna;

the entrance roundabout towards the A30 motorway, on Avenida del Chorrico;

and the section of the Cuesta del Puente, also on the old N-301.

The City Council of Molina de Segura thanks the Government of Spain for the delivery of this material, "in order to make the return to work of those people who cannot keep the safety distance safer," says Navarro.

In Spain we remain in alarm until at least April 26.

Workers in non-essential sectors who suspended their work with the entry into force of the paid leave and who cannot telework may return to their posts.

Hospitality and restaurants (except home delivery), entertainment venues and retail establishments indicated in the Royal Decree of the State of Alarm remain closed.

The Molina de Segura City Council continues to report on new measures and news through press releases, which are published on the municipal website www.molinadesegura.es and on municipal social media profiles.

The Ministry of Health of the Region of Murcia has a telephone number for information on the coronavirus available to citizens, 900 12 12 12, from 08:00 to 20:00.
