| Together with the Asociación Ajedrezfácil, and in collaboration with FAMPA MOLINA, the Molinense City Council intends to promote the practice of this sport from home during the state of alarm by COVID-19 | The Department of Education of the City of Molina de Segura, together with the Easy Chess Association and the collaboration of FAMPA MOLINA, has organized the First Online Chess Tournament, which is held on Saturday, April 25, as reported, today Monday, April 20 , the Second Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Education, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez. Due to the state of alarm by COVID-19, and the consequent confinement, the Department of Education presents this I Online Chess Tournament Molina de Segura, which seeks to promote the practice of this sport from home, in order to combat the virus and carry out family leisure practices.
Without neglecting the practice of chess on a physical board, off the screen, the possibility of carrying out this virtual tournament is offered, with the aim that the participants discover the various modalities that are online, without having to go to nowhere, from their own homes. The Councilor for Education, Fuensanta Martínez, encourages "all citizens to participate in this free tournament, which aims to promote entertainment, as well as the development of executive functions such as: concentration, impulse control, creativity, reasoning, taking decisions, respect for others, overcoming fear of failure, etc.
I want to value this initiative that, from the technicians and techniques of the Department of Education, together with the monitors of the Easy Chess Association, has been launched, highlighting the value of the activities that can be done these days of confinement from home and family.
I want to thank the collaboration of FAMPA Molina, which is always ready to collaborate in the activities that the council offers,thus promoting the participation of families in the educational activities of schoolchildren in Molina de Segura, and, above all, I reiterate, as on other occasions, my thanks to the citizens of Moldova for the great effort they are making these days in House". The tournament has a maximum of 1,000 seats, and will take place on Saturday, April 25, from 11:00 to 12:30, from home (from a computer, mobile or tablet).
Two tournaments will be played in parallel: SENIOR TOURNAMENT: any person residing in Molina de Segura from 13 years can participate. SCHOOL TOURNAMENT: boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 12 who reside in Molina de Segura may participate. It reserves the right of admission. Enrollment in the School and Senior Tournament is free and the deadline ends on Friday, April 24, at 10:00 p.m.
Those interested in participating should send an email to the address chessfacil2@gmail.com with the following information: full date of birth of the participant, tournament he wants to play and indicate the username with which he has registered in the www.chess.com application.
After registering and logging in, you will have to click on the drop-down on the top left, if you are with the computer, click on the bullet (bubble), next to where you put to play, learn, etc., and click on clubs (put clubs forum, etc.) and in clubs put CHESSFACIL and ask to join.
All this can be done right now and an hour before the tournament they will pass the link and enter giving you to join the tournament,having previously logged in with your profile (around 10.00 on Saturday).
That is, you have to ask to join twice, once at AJEDREZFACIL clubs and once at the tournament.
Registrations will not be accepted without the aforementioned. GAME SYSTEM No limit of rounds, until the tournament ends.
In other words, the first round begins on Saturday, April 25 at 11.00 a.m.
and runs until 12.30 p.m., and as each game ends the player waits very little time to continue playing.
The arena system is used (that is, it does not stop playing; they always play, they hardly wait for the rival) with a game rate of 5 minutes per player + 5 seconds per movement.
Whoever reaches 0 seconds loses time.
But it is always played until the tournament ends at 12:30.
Very important, first create a user on www.chess.com. Note: after 11.00 am you will not be able to access the tournament.
It is a good idea to join the tournament earlier, although games start automatically at 11.00. HOW TO START? Create your user in www.chess.com, if you don't have a user yet (to do it, you have to log in and just register below).
Once it is created, google the link that will facilitate the organization an hour before to be able to enter the tournament and give it to join (very important).
