The Molina de Segura City Council will allow the celebration of the six weekly markets (08/05/2020)

| With all the social distancing and capacity control measures planned for its reopening in Phase I of de-escalation | The Saturday market in Parque de la Compañía is the one that will suffer the most changes with respect to size, due to the necessary reduction to 25%In order to provide the weekly markets in Molina de Segura with a reopening in the best conditions of safety and hygiene against COVID-19 from the imminent entry into force in our Autonomous Community of Phase I of the de-escalation, the City Council de Molina de Segura will allow the celebration of the 6 weekly markets with the adoption of all the sanitary hygiene prevention measures of social distancing and capacity control, as reported, today Friday May 8, the Second Deputy Mayor and Councilor of Markets , Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez. Annex II of the Plan for the transition to a new normality, approved by the Government of Spain, establishes the phases through which the lifting of the limitations imposed due to the state of alarm will take place.

Within Phase I, when so proposed by the corresponding City Council, the outdoor markets / non-sedentary markets (street markets) may restart their activity on public roads, with conditions of distance between stalls, and delimitation of the street market for proper control of the capacity by the security forces.

In these markets, the safety distance between positions, workers, clients must be complied with, and a limitation to 25% of the usual or authorized positions and an influx of less than one third of the usual capacity will be guaranteed.alternatively, the area authorized for the exercise of this activity may be increased, so as to produce an effect equivalent to the aforementioned limitation.

The decision to proceed with the restart of this activity must be communicated to the competent body for health in the Autonomous Community. The City Council of Molina de Segura proposes, for all weekly markets on public roads, a separation between a stall of 4 linear meters minimum and a maximum length of 6 meters of stall by 2 meters wide, not including the vehicles in which they transport the merchandise, and with two operators per station, thus ensuring the distance between workers. In all markets, the provisions of the Order SND / 386/2020 of May 3, which relax certain social restrictions and determine the conditions for the development of retail activity, will be required and controlled.

and the provision of services, as well as hotel and restaurant activities in the territories least affected by the health crisis caused by COVID-19. In the market of Barrio del Carmen, El Panderón, La Ribera de Molina, El Llano de Molina and the market of the hamlet of Los Valientes, all food stalls will be allowed to be sold, as well as drugstore stalls, expanding the market area to the adjacent streets, to maintain a safety distance between the stalls of 4 meters, and between seller and buyers of two meters; zones will be enabled for entering and leaving markets, and a capacity control will be carried out, which is established at 30% of capacity, according to Chapter III of Article 7.4 of said Order. Therefore, the celebration of the 6 weekly markets in Molina de Segura will be allowed, with the following changes: - Barrio del Carmen: it has 65 authorizations for sale, and 21 positions are allowed in Phase I. - El Panderón: has 53 authorizations and 30 positions are allowed in Phase I. - La Ribera Market: it has 4 stalls for sale, and 3 stalls are allowed in Phase I. - El Llano de Molina Market: it has 7 stalls authorized for sale and 6 stalls are allowed in Phase I. - Los Valientes Market: it has 12 authorizations and 11 stalls are allowed in Phase I. - Saturday market (in Parque de la Compañía): it is the one that will undergo the most changes regarding size; Out of 353 authorizations, only 88 stalls will be allowed to be sold, complying with the 25% reduction order, to guarantee sanitary measures for sellers and users.

The location will be at Calle Profesor Joaquín Abellán, Calle Jesuíta Hernández Pérez, and the Paseo de la Fuente del Parque de la Compañía. The action plan for opening weekly markets in Phase I of the de-escalation has been prepared in the Department of Public Roads, in collaboration with the Department of Local Police, Municipal Warehouse, Sercomosa, and Public Health.

This plan has been approved by the COVID-19 Monitoring Commission established in Molina de Segura. "The Municipality of Molina de Segura has been working for several weeks on the de-escalation plans of the municipality in order to reactivate the local economy, guaranteeing the health of Molines residents.
