Its effects have a direct impact on our daily life and on our health.

There is a relationship direct between the destruction of nature, climate change and the increased risk of pandemics.

So the health crisis we are experiencing must make us reflect, react and move to individual and collective action.

" The campaign, which will be developed on social networks, with publications on municipal profiles on Facebook and Twitter and with the insertion of the campaign's images and messages on Instagram and Facebook, will invite us in its first publication to reduce our Carbon Footprint, reflecting and changing our way of consumption, our way of moving, reducing energy consumption, contracting renewable energies, reducing our waste and collaborating in recycling and also contributing to the protection of biodiversity, respecting our natural spaces. Appealing that the fight against climate change is everyone's responsibility and that we can all contribute by changing our attitude and our life habits, the Councilor for the Environment, Mariano Vicente, wants to "thank and reinforce the important exercise of responsibility , solidarity and commitment that citizens have shown during this health crisis and the importance of this exemplarity also being transferred to the fight against the climate crisis ". "We can not help remembering indicates the councilor - the consequences of climate change and environmental degradation for our health.

We know and are already suffering some of these consequences in our lives, extreme meteorological phenomena, such as heat waves, storms, forest fires, floods and droughts, and in an increase in the level of the sea waters.

And of course climate change and global warming is a risk factor for the spread of viruses such as COVID-19.

If we fight against environmental problems such as climate change, air pollution and loss of biodiversity, we will be fighting to guarantee our health.

" In relation to the loss of biodiversity and in response to the claim that the United Nations proposes for this year on the occasion of the celebration of this World Environment Day, the campaign of the Molinense City Council also adds to the motto THE HOUR OF NATURE, calling citizens to action to combat the accelerated loss of species and the degradation of our natural spaces and our cities. "It is also the objective of this campaign that the population of our municipality knows, values ??and collaborates in the conservation of our natural spaces, such as the Vicente Blanes Ecological Park, the Sotos del Río Segura or the Wetlands of Las Lagunas de Campotéjar, a wetland of importance International and Special Protection Area for Birds, in which we have an endangered species, the Malvasía Cabeciblanca ", explains Mariano Vicente. Lastly, the Councilor for the Environment invites "all citizens of Molina de Segura to become active agents in the fight against climate change and the conservation of our biodiversity, changing our habits and attitudes, and raising our voices for the future of the planet and for our future.
