| In addition, in the plenary session on June 29, it will be urged to commemorate, through initiatives, the "World Day of awareness of abuse and mistreatment in old age ”| At the municipal level we have witnessed the ERTEs carried out by Sercomosa and other private companies, of layoffs before the end of contracts (nursery schools and custodians), of the paralysis of commercial and labor activity as well as of municipal employees who even putting their own lives at risk, not only have they not been gratified, but their remuneration and labor rights have been cut.For this reason, the mayor of VOX, Antonio Martínez, considers that if there is a bad economic situation in the city council, responsibility should be shared and collaborate, because "society does not only need words, it needs examples".Consequently, he defends urging the consistory to fully approve the reduction of the remuneration to the councilors in exclusive and partial dedication to dedicate that amount to palliate the measures that have been taken during the pandemic against the aforementioned workers.In addition, and always thinking of the people most affected by this health, economic and social crisis, we do not forget the population sector as sensitive and necessary as our elders are.At VOX we point out the lack of immediate response from the government, highlighting the disastrous management and strongly condemn the cruel way in which they have been abandoned and the inhuman way of dying.We express our rejection of any form of mistreatment and abuse towards the elderly, we call the conscience of all to eradicate this injustice, we stand in solidarity with the victims and we commit ourselves to the future of our elders.As the city council is the closest administration to the citizens, in our second motion we urge it to commemorate every June 15 the "World Day of Awareness of Abuse and Abuse in Old Age" through initiatives that reject and condemn any type of abuse or violence that is exerted or influences our elders "collaborating in disseminating what was expressed in the UN on December 10, 1984, where the set of fundamental rights on the elderly is defined so that they can enjoy the future of the rights of the well-being and of the recognition that correspond to him ”, has indicated Antonio Martínez.At VOX Molina we will use all the resources we have in our hands to ensure our seniors a decent life.
