The Molina de Segura City Council improves access to data and other benefits to offer a higher quality public service, within the framework of EDUSI Molina 2020 Avanza Contigo (25/09/2020)

The Municipality of Molinense has installed a new disk booth, which will allow greater information storage and the definition of computer servers with higher performance than the current ones, a project 80% co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) Within the framework of the EDUSI Molina 2020 Avanza Contigo, the Molina de Segura City Council develops a project to improve access to data and other benefits to offer a higher quality public service, 80% co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). One of the objectives that is intended to be addressed with the EDUSI Molina 2020 Avanza Contigo is the improvement of urban public services through electronic administration and Smart City, improving the quality of life of citizens, creating a more efficient city and improving the environmental quality of the municipality. The increase in the amount of data and information that is generated in today's digital society requires secure storage, as well as greater speed and availability of access and better benefits in general.

That is why the Molinense City Council has installed a new disk cabinet, which will allow greater storage of information and the definition of computer servers with higher performance than the current ones. Thus, the City Council is committed to innovation in its forms of management, incorporating new technologies and, above all, making intensive use of information and communication technologies (ICT) to have more information and to be able to make better decisions. This action has involved an investment of 78,637.90 euros and has been 80% co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Electronic administration, transparency, the publication of open data (open data), the capture and treatment of big data (big data) and, in general, all the information generated in the City Council needs this type of infrastructure to offer a quality public service, more efficient, close and accessible to citizens.
