| The individual was caught in a suspicious attitude between the hurdle of the Vía Verde and fled before being arrested | The Citizen Security Unit of the Molina de Segura Local Police arrested, last Friday, October 2, a 47-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health. The events occurred at around 4.30 p.m.
on Friday, when local police officers carried out citizen surveillance on the Greenway and observed the now detained hiding between the hurdle in a suspicious and nervous attitude. When the agents asked the reason for this attitude, the suspect stated that he was defecating, something that was obviously false.
Faced with such suspicions, a search was carried out among the hurdle, and a plastic bottle was located inside which numerous cocaine papers were housed. At that time, the individual took the opportunity to flee on the bicycle he was carrying, and was later arrested by the same local police officers near his home. In the intervention, 33 cocaine papers and about 100 euros in cash were seized.
The detainee and the effects of the crime were transferred to the police station for the investigation of proceedings and brought to justice. Less than a week ago, another young man was arrested for growing 20 marijuana plants in his home in the La Alcayna Urbanization.
