The Hospital de Molina, awarded in the III Recognitions of Good Practices in Diversity Management of Fundación CEPAIM (05/10/2020)

The initiative "Integrating diversity through our value chain" of the Hospital de Molina has received the Recognition of Good Practice in the category "Value chain", in the III Call of these Cepaim Foundation Awards.

These awards are part of the Fundación Cepaim "Diversity Management in professional environments" project, financed by the General Directorate of Integration and Humanitarian Attention of the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations, and co-financed by the European Social Fund. The labor integration of diversity is one of the commitments that the Hospital de Molina has maintained since its birth, 20 years ago.

In 2011, giving one more, it began to integrate it into its value chain with the hiring of Special Employment Centers and Labor Insertion Companies. Thus, since that year and without interruption, they work with DOCUVIVA (Special Employment Center, belonging to FEYCSA).

Made up of 6 people with intellectual disabilities and mental illness, Docuviva is responsible for the confidential and certified digitalization, custody and destruction of the clinical records of the Hospital Center. The Hospital de Molina also works periodically with the upholstery workshop of the Occupational Center of ASPAPROS, - directed by 2 professional upholsterers and made up of 10 users with intellectual disabilities -, to upholster the armchairs in the hospital rooms. The Labor Insertion Companies of the Murcian Association for Psychosocial Rehabilitation (ISOL) that seek the labor integration of people with serious mental illness, drug addiction and / or dual pathology - are also part of its value chain.

Among them: the digital printing company Total Print (made up of 4 users), the carpentry and furniture company Mobiliario & Stand ISOL (made up of 5 users) and Mesón Asador Los Juncos (made up of 13 users). The Deputy Manager of the Hospital de Molina, Francisco Menchón Galiana, thanked this Recognition and stressed that "betting on diversity in our value chain has made us a more inclusive organization, thanks to the alliances we have established with the third sector to develop collaborative projects.

But, above all, it allows us to advance in a process of continuous improvement, with which we do our bit to achieve sustainability and the objective set by the United Nations 2030 Agenda, to which we are committed.

: a more inclusive society, leaving no one behind.

" The Recognitions of Good Practices in Diversity Management to the selected organizations in Madrid, Murcia and Valencia were delivered this morning as part of a virtual gala.
