The Regional Government has announced that the number of active coronavirus infections is 8,573 in the Region of Murcia, of which 372 are admitted to hospitals in the autonomous community, 69 of them in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).That means that the number of infected has increased by 24 people compared to yesterday; the number of hospitalized is 9 people compared to yesterday.
In addition, there are 3 more people in the ICU than yesterday.In total, since the start of the pandemic in the Region there have been 24,056 confirmed positives of COVID-19, that is, 443 more than yesterday.
Thus, the Region of Murcia registers more than 400 cases for the second consecutive day.Of the 443 new cases,89 correspond to the municipality of Murcia,71 to Lorca,50 to Cartagena,45 to Totana,26 to Molina de Segura,19 to Jumilla,14 to Archena.The rest are distributed among various locations.In addition, there have been 2 deaths, so there are 226 deaths with coronavirus in the community.They are two men aged 86 and 93, from Murcia and Totana.
The latter is the first to die from the outbreak at the Virgen del Alcázar de Lorca hospital.On the other hand, the people cured are 13,551, 417 more than yesterday.
We recall that now only the positive discharges by PCR are counted.271,917 tests have already been carried out in PCR, and 69,710 in antibodies, to verify if they were positive for COVID-19 or not.
