The Villa de Molina Theater opens the program with MRS DALLOWAY on Saturday, October 10 (08/10/2020)

| The representation of the play by Virginia Woolf, starring Blanca Portillo, will begin at 9:00 pm | Once the 51st Molina de Segura Theater Festival is over, the Villa de Molina Theater begins the program from October to December 2020 with the representation of the play MRS DALLOWAY, by Virginia Wolf, with Blanca Portillo, by the company Avance Producciones Teatrales (Madrid), on Saturday, October 10, at 9:00 p.m., at the Villa de Molina Theater (in Avenida del Chorrico, n ° 10).

The ticket price is 20 euros (due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, this season you can also enjoy the shows from home through the VIRTUAL ARMCHAIR, in this case with a 50% discount on the marked price ). Virginia Woolf takes a 24-hour tour of Clarissa Dalloway's life, from the time she gets up in the morning and starts preparing a party for her husband, to the time of that party, at night.

A journey marked by the hours that the bell of the Big Ben clock tolls, by the time that passes and that takes Clarissa to go back and forth in the time of her life.

The flow of your consciousness, the awareness of your life, your decisions, comes the moment you open the window on that wonderful spring day when you are preparing a great party. To give depth to the character, Virginia resorts to the construction of memories, today used in the series and in some scripts.

Everything happens in a single day, giving the feeling of living the plot in real time.

Various characters who were part of his life will come to his memory today and, later, to his house for the party.

Virginia goes in and out of her mind, leading us to the construction of a society that, coinciding with ours, is a time between wars.

A society that is awakening to a new world that, at the same time, is being destroyed. Clarissa is a superficial and dependent woman in appearance, immersed in an insubstantial life that has survived on the basis of not looking back.

A woman, like so many others, dedicated to making others happy, who has made decisions in her life without taking into account what she really wanted, fulfilling the requirements of a wonderful woman admired by everyone.

Through it, the author highlights the role of women and talks about sexual and economic repression. Directed by Carmen Portaceli, the cast is made up of: Jimmy Castro, Jordi Collet, Inma Cuevas, Gabriela Flores, Anna Moliner, Zaira Montes, Blanca Portillo and Manolo Solo.
